In light of the problems highlighted in this thread, this is just insulting. I reserve judgment on the ending until I see it, but I am more prepared to accept artistic "error" than basic technical faults like the face import issue. Surely it is easier to fix the import than it is to create a entire new ending.
It's starting to seem like they're not going to address this issue at all.

The most disturbing thing to me about this problem is the lack of press from the major gaming media outlets we're getting in comparison to the ending controversy (which I can't even take part in because I refuse to do an initial play through with anyone other than my original Shepard). This thread is at 216 pages and 80,000+ views and still no word from bioware for 2 weeks or any further press coverage? ridiculous and disgusting. I like the media/bioware email carpetbomb idea, you can count on my support.
The ending controversy taps into many people's trained preference for Hollywood endings, and thus it becomes an easier headline for attracting "outsider" readership. The industry's press and also the mainstream media are playing it safe and conservative. They're "just reporting the news" and coattailing from Occupy etc. The fuss about the endings is also easier popcorn material, so the reporters get to have it both ways. Recycled drama that plays up the question of which side has more say about gray territory etc., etc. Gamers opposed to the endings make good writing material much more than the people here in this thread because it's already a no-brainer that BioWare is in the wrong for permitting the face-bug to go through.
In the meantime, I'm impatient but none too worried about the fix. It will happen anyway because BioWare has no choice but to go through with it. They can delay and drag and try to work only for advantage on their part, but just up to a point. They tied themselves to ME over the long-term, and the face-import is a volatile currency for them. Movies and DLC, and some more products all need tending, including PR. It's not a matter of if BioWare missed the bug prior to launch, because they didn't. They wanted this. It's a matter of how long they can still risk using this wait time as a method to water the plants(ME gamers). We're a project to them.
Even barring the movies in the future, BioWare committed themselves to the DLC business model. Once they cannot dare to wait further then the face-import fix will finally be here as a way to lend "concrete credit" for their DLC's main headline.

This is just stupid. FIX THE PROBLEM AND THE ENDING BIOWARE. That's all you have to do.
The ending is irrelevant to us here. In fact, this controversy over the ending is dooming our lime-light, and jeopardizing the attention we require to get this fixed...
Yeah, they should probably fix the beginning first.
Exactly.

Think about it, almost all attention is being given to the endings, and almost everyone is saying the rest was good. But it wasn't, just look at this thread.
I even believe they already started on this rumoured ending DLC before launch, so they could sell it faster.
Or I could be over speculating things.

Absolutely egregious that the co-founder of Bioware is more concerned about the ending of the game than a face-import bug which somehow managed to escape testing unscathed and is preventing thousands of us 'loyal fans' from even playing one minute of the story--a story whose ending is now being ruined for them by way of this whole controversy.
My favorite thing about the blog post is how much he/they assure us our feedback is important, then you scroll all the way down and see, "Comments are closed."

Apparently Amazon will offer a refund for any game if you didn't like it, so it's very likely you would get a refund.DogmeatPryde wrote...

Also I tweeted to some of the guys that were posted on here. one of them Ash Matheson, responded "Sorry to hear that. However I don't work on ME, so you're kind of venting to the wrong person/group." So this poor guy apprently has nothing to do with ME. I want more guys to tweet to though.
Well, in light of the new blog post, I think this is the guy everyone should get tweeting to

I find it ironic, that people whining and ****ing about the ending gets 1000000X more airtime than people NOT BEING ABLE TO START THE FIERFEKING GAME!

i hear you man...
this is un-fing-believable. never, in my history of gaming, has something similar happened to me. bought the game 15 days ago and haven't been able to play it since. this is just not right!

That guy seems like he doesn't care about much of anything and is just having a good time. he also seems to enjoy touting the company line.

First things first, they give us back our sheppard and then we can talk about the ending.
