I find it ironic, that people whining and ****ing about the ending gets 1000000X more airtime than people NOT BEING ABLE TO START THE FIERFEKING GAME!

you have to continue not playing it so as to get your message across, or better yet boycott buying any games to do with EA its their fault since they forced bioware to work on day 1 DLC and multiplayer like greedy capitolists rather than working to make the game actually playable for loyal fans
Yeah, this has really been annoying me to the point where I don't think I can play as a Shepard who doesn't look like my Shepard. And I do have Tales of Graces f to play instead. So I think I'll do that instead. At least until Bioware decides to fix this issue. And if they never fix this issue, I guess I'll never finish ME3. Oh well. >_<

You already bought the game, they got our money. It's already in the bank. Do you think they care if you or I don't get to finish the story?
I really feel stupid for pre-ordering the Collector's Edition of this. I gave them an extra $20 of my money to collect dust for me.

A few things:
- I know how much it sucks being a CM when you're dealing with a contentious bug; if the fix isn't made right away, it only breeds more animosity toward the Community staff, which is ill-directed. If there were more information to give on this issue [or if they have the greenlight to give more information], they would do so. In reality, the decision to fix or not fix this bug was likely made over the senior producer overseeing the QA department, who decided that the bug's negative impact was not fiscally equal or greater than the negative impact from a further delay to the game. Or, it was decided that it would be a patch, and the fix is already in progress. So why don't we have it yet? I'm guessing because...
People are pissed in general and it's their job to deal with it here. If they aren't being made able to do their job whether through a lack of information provided to them or horrid policies (each of which are a common occurrence) then that only adds to the consumer dissatisfaction by their own design. They're in a better position to get an answer than any of us and it's part of their job to keep us in the loop, so while I do feel kind of bad that they take a bit of the impact on such things that is their job and they need to learn how or be provided better tools to do that job better so that it doesn't get to this point.
- The fix would likely need to be tested by a variety of shepherd models in every in-game cinematic covering every decision branch in the game; that requires not only a lot of hours playing ME3 again, but also ME1 and ME2 to get the necessary save games [though one would hope they already have many of these stored away]. And just covering every decision tree would be troublesome on its own; it would require a large QA staff who is no doubt testing DLC right now. And this doesn't even take into account the time it takes to locate and fix the bug, plus...
That was all pointed out in a thread somewhere and is perfectly understandable. The problem being they've known about the issue for about a month now and have released a MP patch already while never so much as addressing if they are actually working on this issue - only saying they're 'looking at it', as if that's even acceptable or can be regarded as communication at this point.
- Certification. Granted, I can't speak as to why a completed fix wouldn't be out for PC yet if it were done, but Certification for a patch from Sony or Microsoft isn't a one-day turnaround. It could take from as little as one to probably as great as three weeks (though I'm hoping it's closer to the former). BioWare / EA literally has no control on how quickly this is completed. And if the team decided already to push out a quick fix which failed certification, they go back to step 1 (which, I'm guessing, is why BioWare's CMs are hesitant to give us detailed updates... if we get our hopes up when the patch is in Cert, we'd be even more angry if it failed].
All that said... I really wish I could get some updates. I just want to know if I should bother starting from ME1 again on a Default Shep, or if I only need to stick it out a little longer.
They have a few options, but the one that makes me the least angry is to know that they're at least trying to actively fix my problem. If a patch proves impossible or takes another month, I'm more than ok with that. If they're giving me cloak and dagger reassurances with no substance to their words on what they're even doing or working on regarding it, that to me is a lot worse than the problem existing in the first place. It escalates from being a really annoying bug that breaks immersion to that same bug produced by a company that's effectively lying to my face and dismissive to all of their consumers.
Is it really that hard or too demanding to want them to put a listing of issues that they're trying to get fixed with the patch with updates on it weekly and a mea culpa + appreciation message at the end? Even if they can't fix something, having them at least pretend to try and address such a concern is customer service gold while ignoring it is poison.
If I was to take them at their word, they've been looking at a screen that shows that error message starting a week after they knew it existed and have done absolutely nothing on it worth reporting or else they'd have done so. No offense, but if you spend a month on a bug fix and have absolutely no data on an estimated timeframe or if you can even fix it- you would most certainly not deserve the job. Pretending like communication only works when it's praise to them or a press release from them is a disgusting concept as well that's been going on for quite a while, but that's the standard that's operating now and deemed acceptable, I suppose. I just have no acceptance or tolerance for it being termed communication.

"To that end, since the game launched, the team has been poring over everything they can find about reactions to the game – industry press, forums, Facebook, and Twitter, just to name a few. The Mass Effect team, like other teams across the BioWare Label within EA, consists of passionate people who work hard for the love of creating experiences that excite and delight our fans." = LIE
"Building on their research, Exec Producer Casey Hudson and the team are hard at work on a number of game content initiatives that will help answer the questions, providing more clarity for those seeking further closure to their journey." = LIE
"our loyal fans are passionately expressing their displeasure about how their game concluded; we care about this feedback, and we’re planning to directly address it." = LIE
"we respect your opinion and want to hear it. We’re committed to address your constructive feedback as best we can" = ANOTHER DAMN LIE
"You’ll hear more on this in April" = how about we skip the waiting and you tell us whats wrong NOW?!
but my absolute favourite aspect of this entire statement is that he continuously compares ME3 to art, as it stands so far ME3 IS NOT ART! art is beautiful, inspiring and envokes emotion. ME3 is broken and the only emotions it has so far envoked for me is anger and disapointment

"Will I be able to make changes to my Shepard when I import?
You will be given the option to alter the appearance of Shepard, and you will be able to change class (i.e. Soldier to Adept) as well.
NOTE: Some ME2 saves will not be able to import the face-file of your Shepard. You will need to re-create the appearance when importing the file."

Yeah, that's true. It's just hard for me to play the game right now anyway. I was in a bad mood while playing last night. I mean, I had just started up the game for the first time last night because I was finishing my ME2 playthrough and I just couldn't play it without being constantly reminded on how I wasn't playing with my Shepard. I don't like playing games angry. So I might have no choice but to not play it until they fix it anyway. I might give it another shot though. We'll see. But it's very weird seeing FemShep's voice coming out of a different Shepard's face. >_>

That is a bunch of lies. I spent over an hour trying to re-create my Shepard and couldn't even come close. It seems to me that their new face modeling system is completely different. I don't think you can recreate any face from ME2 with it.

Yet ME3 sits on my shelf, unplayed and this thread goes completely unupdated. I applaud Bioware's communication regarding the endings, but damnit what about the import issue? We haven't even had some canned "looking into it" bs in 12 days.
Will my Shepard ever see these improvements to the endings? The longer we go with no comment, the more I doubt he will.

ME2 uses raw data to import Shephard from ME1 while ME3 uses actual character codes, which makes you wonder why they didnt uses the same raw data system this time, you know the system that ACTUALLY WORKS!

And no, I don't want a different face for the same reason that I don't want Liara, Joker, Kaidan, Ash, Anderson, Miranda, Jack etc. to have a different face.
And no, I can't recreate the face because the features I used have been removed or changed. I tried. Seriously, I spent close to 15 hours now to get it right, it doesn't work.

With all the money I spent on this franchise, yes, I do feel ENTITLED TO KNOW if a fix is in the works or not. THIS IS AN ISSUE. While others bicker about the end we can't even start!!

It feels like we won't be able to start to play ME3 in the near future or even at all.
Don't have much faith left in Bioware at the moment, if they screwed up Dragon Age 3 as well somehow.
The only thing that can save them is to make a sequal to Jade Empire and make it an awesome game.
(atleast I have my dreams left
