YAY!!! A fix! I just hope it actually fixes it comprehensively, making you able to have the same exact face from ME2 and ME1, not just copy what the workaround does.

Oh, a nice new ^^ Thanks for updating, it seems Bioware still have the willing to dialogue with customers, so it's not completely part of EA Games, cause EA Games just do what it wants and doesnt care about customers. Sorry but what they did to LOTR - Conquest, will be never forget by me, it was too much unfair.

Ahhh see the love when info is communicated. I've been holding out not playing the SP - lets just hope the xbox 360 and PS3 testing and certification don't hold this up.

This may have been covered, but I couldn't see an answer:

Does this fix only facial structure errors, or will a patch add back hairstyles/colours that were removed?

My Femshep (old default) transferred without an error message, but looks very different.

This is a very important questions. I can only HOPE that BW doesnt mess this up and somehow only address the error message aspect of it...

My shepard also imported BUT the face looked completely off

I wouldn't say this will prevent me from buying their products in the future necessarily, but it most certainly won't have me pre-ordering or ordering them at full price at any point in the near future at the very least and at the most I will happily avoid them depending on several factors.

The lack of communication was a considerable disappointment and I don't generally want to be bit twice by the same creature, so caveat emptor takes over for now vs the earlier Bioware seal of instant buy or at least heavily consider. The hype for their products they've built up over years of goodwill created from their products now has a considerable crack in it that isn't easily or instantly repaired for me for effectively no reason other than bad communication on technical issues (and some of the decisions on DA2 that really did go over the line, such as to bring a character back to life by ignoring decisions in the first game if applicable and calling it by design while not fixing it....but I digress).

It's disappointing at the least and I hope everyone rejoicing at least keeps it in the back of their minds in the future to learn from it as consumers and Bioware should learn from it in regards to customer service and all will be well. If not, everyone deserves the mistakes that result.

I completely agree. Bioware used to be on my "Can't wait to give you my money" list along with Bethesda, Valve, and Nintendo. Now, while I still believe they craft the most engrossing RPG stories (ME3 included, DA2 excluded), I'm definitley not waiting outside Gamestop to preorder collectors anything from them anymore which will completely ruin my "Bioware Collectors Edition Collection" shelf Posted Image.

Thanks for the update. I hope in there were some lessons learned that carry over into DA3's production. A check in every few days to reassure fans that the problem was not being ignored would have been a better way to address this issue IMHO. Microsoft has a two week turn around on certification so hopefully it'll go live by April 4th. Looking forward to finally getting my return to duty achievement and unlocking the N7 helmet for my avatar:)

I'm not going to repost my restaurant analogy, but it still applies. This isn't enough and its way too late.

I'm not going to thank Bioware for giving me a status update a week late. That kind of customer service is unacceptable in any other business or industry. I'm also not going to thank Bioware for a patch for something that should never have been broken in the first place. Everything is not suddenly okay.

Finally delivering a working product weeks late doesn't change the fact that it didn't work, and that it was weeks late. Its gonna take more than that to win me back as a customer. So no, I'm not going to dance around and thank you.

It may seem like he's being an insensitive jerk, but he is right.  I very much appreciate that they're finally giving us an update, but that this happened, then we were left to pretty much sit and spin without a word for about two weeks is pretty damned bad.

While I didn't think it was cool that the Prothean character was DLC, because I was loyal to BioWare... I was going to buy it, cuz I buy all their DLC.

Not this time though.  Because of this and how it was handled, I'll be watching that DLC on YouTube.

Here's hoping the patch passes certification so it can be released soon. I've been biding my time by playing multiplayer only so far. Can't wait to get going on kicking Reaper butt!

Thank you Bioware for fixing it

I'll believe it when I see it....

Yes, I don't think we're quite out of the woods yet. While I'm pleased that un update has been issued, the statement doesn't address the problem of character faces looking different between ME2 and ME3 which was a massive concern made very clear in this 200+ page thread. Will this be solved? Hopefully, but I wouldn't relax so soon.

Indeed

I hope you guys know what the Stockholm Syndrome is cause it sounds like that´s happening with a lot of ppl here. To be honest I´m glad too, to hear at least something and to know that we aren´t totally ignored but don´t praise anyone before they actually deliver what they promise..! (especially when the sentence "fixing ME3s CC" could mean anything at this point - not necesseraly what we demand).

Keep up the updates BioWare and fix the CC including the unrecoginzable faces and there will be everlasting piece... at least in this thread ;)

Good news, but unfortunately, does not address the question, if our imported Sheps will still look different (and as far as Femsheps go, ugly), or if they will also reintroduce the whole import function of ME2, which does not import Charactercodes or slider positions, but the actual mesh values.
