I knew BioWare wouldn't fail. Thanks a lot! (But seriously, hurry up with that testing stuff xD)

They already failed. They failed with ME3 and as a company. They were doomed to fail the moment they got bought out by EA.

Also I wouldn't get on my knees for Bioware just yet if I were you. They say they fixed the problem. But whether or not the fix actually works for all of us still remains to be seen.

QFT. Seriously, having this major a problem with one of the game's key features is a pretty major fail.
I wonder if they know or care about how many fans they disappointed. Probably just took the money and ran.

Chris, stop beating around the bush and give us a straight up answer. I dont know who you think you are or how stupid you think we are. Sure you fixxed the face code importing issue (which im certain they knew about before launch) But, will our Sheps look the same as they did in 1 and 2? Or are we going to have to settle for the sheps that have all the new completely different looking facial features? I find it bizzare that they even changed all the facial features and hairstyles so much. Why would they bother? I mean the character customization for ME1 and 2 werent all that great to begin with but for part 3 they made it HORRIBLE. at least with 1 and 2 you could make a reasonable looking person with some slight effort but with 3 the best you get is some juiced up hobo or a crackhead, frog-eyed retard. PLEASE import our entire sheps face not just the facecodes!!

This. Selling out to EA, end of Bioware. Every game since then is riddled with all kinds of BS, all ticking down to the last straw. Mass Effect 3 is the last straw.

Why does bioware always give hints or answer questions after a long time

Chris thinks he is better than us because he works in the magical land of videogames.

I have much respect for bioware so don't tell me I don't have respect for them. Can you tell by just one post? NO! But it is just as with witch hunt patch

Would you rather not get an answer at all? While the complaints in here are more than justified, the whining is just obnoxious.

I too am one of the victims who can't import their custom faced Shepard and I am not going to play ME3 till I can. However, I keep reading every where how people demand a different ending. The attention it gets and how everybody is talking about it, is already a big spoiler to me but I'm worried about something else.

I don't know if Bioware is actually going to change the ending because I don't read any news related to it but I do notice that Bioware is giving this concern a lot of attention. So I'm worried that maybe they have plans to change the ending and include that in the same patch we've been waiting for and that we'll never get to see the original ending if we keep waiting for this patch.

Can anyone confirm that this is not going to happen?

They are releasing new ending content. More info on it is coming in April. It won't be in the same patch as the face fix.

Questioning and belittling people standing up for themselves as consumers is obnoxious.

I hear you brother, you have lots of valid questions.  As for this "chris" dude.  I give about a D for performance but atleast he is giving us some information and his last post at least sounded positive as far as them fixing this.  Worse case it wouldn't be fixed and then I would never play the game.  The worst part out of all of this is THEY KNEW that this was a problem far before they released it.  What i would like to know was it EA that said screw it, put this turd on the shelf or was Bioware that figured nobody would care.  There is no excuse for why this broken game hit the shelves but I would like to know who to blame.  As of now I don't think I could ever buy a bioware product day one.  Not when games drop in price so fast.  By the time this patch comes out this game might be in some bin next to wii shovel ware for 20 bucks.

I've seen two separate but related issues being discussed in this thread; the inability of ME3 to understand faces imported from the first game into the second and the fact that Shepards made in 2 change too much when imported into 3. The first one is the issue which it seems Bioware has solved, the second is an intrinsic problem that I don't think will ever be sorted out. Essentially if you can recreate your ME Shepard in 2 using a combination of methods your Shepard is going to look as good as possible even once the issue is fixed.

You don't know that, you're just guessing. Not saying you're wrong, you could be right. We'll just have to do/play something else in the meantime before finding out more details from Bioware. Hope you're wrong, but as I said, either call is a guess at this point.

It's pure speculation on my part I admit. Speculation that could be avoided if only our questions were answered in a straightforward way which evidently isn't the way things are done any more.

You're taking this "whining", as you put it, the wrong way. The reason people are "whining" in this thread is because it's just a silly internet forum that the developers don't read. They hired highfalutin chaps like Chris Priestly to do the honors of maybe reading the titles of some of these threads once a day and posting a response twice a month.

You think we'd "whine" to Bio Arts in their faces? Of course not. We need a place to vent our frustration, anger, fear and sadness to an interested audience.

The reason you consider this "whining" is because you don't share in our frustration, anger, fear or sadness to the same extent, so it's annoying to you. In that case, I think you should stop reading something that annoys you, because for a lot of us, this thread is as close to cathartic as can be found in the world about one of our favorite gaming franchises going down the toilet.

Lol you guys are so silly.

Chris is a community manager. Obviously you have NO idea what that entails. It's one of the worst jobs to do and one of the most gratifying. They have to take everything they see online, the good and the bad. The good is usually not even something they did but accolades meant for the dev's. He will however be at the dirty end of the ****stick if something goes wrong.
What he posts is probably stuff that has been through a lot of advisors and copywriters. I used to do the same job at an ISP and yea... these situations are hard but dont shoot the messenger.

For the rest, relax guys and just wait and see. Whilst I agree that Bioware has gone downhill since EA it has no use to be angry.
If they make paid DLC of this ending its simple, we boycott Bioware. I already boycott their Dragon Age IP because DA2. And if they mess up ME then they lose not only me as an ME customer but also as a The Old Republic customer. EA will also lose me as a customer. It might not hurt their pocket too bad but it's not about their pocket that I need to hurt right now. It's about down the line when more and more people abandon a brand.

As for Chris, you're doing a good job and I'd hate to be in your shoes right now lol

But in the end it all boils down to how they will solve this problem.
Paid DLC will not be an option for them I hope... otherwise I can see a sudden spike in piracy:bandit:

EDIT: Not all that he posts of course. Think like this are checked by copywriters but general posts aren't obviously.

Still haven't played Mass Effect 3.....This wait is not acceptable, I'd rather they just extended the release to fix such an obvious issue.

The main question now is wether Bioware is going to fix all those wrong face meshes and structures or just enable bringing facecode from ME2. If they fix meshes - we finally get our dear Shepards back. If they just fix facecode import they can stop working on patch, nobody needs just facecode. People already obtained facecodes equal to ME2 and this doesn't make their Shepards in ME3 similar to ME2.

I finished my Hardcore play and almost finished with my Insanity play as we speak. I am also still saddened that my Avatar Shep is stuck in limbo, all attempts to rebuild him ends up with more then a few angles that are impossible to deal with.
