First thing you do in the game. Error. Carrying your character over the trilogy is a MAJOR feature.
THIS BUG WAS IN THE DEMO.
They are just lazy.

Alternatively just imagine that during the intermission between ME2 and the start of ME3 something happened. I know I started to think how my characters were beaten up, their implants were tampered by Cerberus, they spent years in lockup, they got attacked by Mindoir pirates who tortured them, indoctrination changed them, old Normandy/Shuttle was blown up, turns out they're robots instead of real Shepard who died after ME1...

Let me ask you, Mr Martinez. What is your actual purpose here? To tell us to "be patient" and "behave"? Meanwhile Mr Priestly has visited this thread (which he created!) twice in 21 days. That's two times in three weeks. Two times per over 6000 posts and over 100,000 views.
In comparison, the Cupcakes thread has had over a dozen posts by several Bioware representatives in a single day.
Free pastry is, of course, massively more important than thousands of fans (and more likely, tens or hundreds of thousands) who can't play Mass Effect 3 with THEIR Shepard.
And in these circumstances, you're surprised that some people perceive such attitude as patronising or condescending.
Well, you really shouldn't be.
Well said brother! The saddest part in all of this is I don't have near the desire as I once did to play this game now. It just sits on my shelf rotting, and every day that passes I lose interest all because they decided that they would release a game that didn't work. With the way they have handled this, they've made it clear they don't care what the hell we think regarding the matter. Just really sad.

#1. C.A. and DJ R, I respect your opinions, but it's my damn signature. I can do what I want with it. Read my post. Who's telling you to read my signature?
#2. FS4P, what? When? Who are you? If it's buried in here among the 240+ pages, sorry if I missed ONE post about my signature. Here's an idea: PM me so I'm sure to get it.
I'm certainly not selfish and I'm probably the fathest thing from an idiot, so stow it if you've got nothing else to say.
And you may not have noticed, but I changed it anyway so my freedom of speech won't ruin the ending of a game that's been out for almost a month. Be warned, it's going back to it's original text about a week after the application of the patch that has been mentioned in this post. I figure that's about enough time for those of us waiting to play ME3 with our "real" Shepards to finish.
Now, back to our regularly scheduled program.
Just apologize, is it that hard? You messed up, it happens. You forgot you had spoilers in your sig, you didn't mean to spoil the game, it was an accident. Be an adult and admit it. Don't attack people for your own mistake.

yet Javik was avalible day 1 surely also would take lots of time for certification or was there that big a gap between finshed product - release date
honest question

Today, the last game of the trilogy has been released for almost a month and I'm still unable to play. Why ? Because I can't even import MY Shepard, the one that I created 5 years ago, what should be a KEY feature, and today I still don't know when this issue will be fixed.
Today, Bioware is working on new DLC and a new ending, while I'm still waiting to start, playing a kind of FarmVille on my iPhone to be able to maybe see one day the least bad ending available.
Wow... So many levels of wrong ...
5 years ago, I would never think that possible, today it became real. What happened ?
5 years ago I would have buy a console just for your games, today I don't think that will happen anymore if you keep treating your first fans base like that.

I'm well into my 2nd PC playthrough of ME3 (used the fan-made correction), and I'm not going to start by 360 Shepard without the patch, because I want my face preserved.

Exactly This.
The game is completely ruined for me. Even when the fix is released and if it even fixes the problem at all. It won't matter. I'm too upset about the situation to even enjoy the game anymore. I just want to finish it and get it over with and put Bioware behind me.

Over in one of the character and relationship threads, there's a Bioware guy, Dusty Everman, being very responsive and explaining quite a lot about a bug involving... well I don't want to post spoilers so I'll just give a link to the topic and you can see.

To date, No one from Bioware or The Nordic or anyone in between:
* Has apologised for this massive stuff up.
* Explained WHY you guys were happy to take our money and give us in return a buggy as hell game with the most important feature in the game (Face import) being broken DESPITE you all knowing of this before the game was released. In any other industry, if you pulled that sort of crap, you guys would be done and dusted.
* Apologised for the very little, bordering on pathetic feedback to a forum that was started over 3 weeks ago, now has thousands of posts and a **** load of angry customers and to date the Bioware lackey who started this thread to supercede the DEMO version of this issue has only responded 3 times and given us very vague pointless updates.
* Told us why all of the Bioware moderators are more then happy to visit and comment far more frequently in other threads on this forum but this thread seems to be like the Black Plague for you guys despite it being something of your own making!! You seem more then happy to take our money but actually fix your f**k up and placate the consumers who are put out by it?? Oh no, can't have that can we?? Cupcakes are being offered. Pathetic!!
* Told us how far reaching this so called face import fix will go. What?? You afraid that the backlash will continue if you tell us that it isn't all encompassing??
So as you can see Lion, you may not be at Bioware but your providing about as much useless non-information as one of them, Which makes me wonder why your even getting involved seeing as your next to useless (No offense) if you are not told anything or can tell us anything more then Chris's vague comments have said already - My guess is Chris doesn't care to placate us so he sends his lackey aka you in his stead. Do you need legal permission to simply say "Sorry, our bad??". A Fail is still a Fail!!
Funny how Bioware loves us when their game comes out and they need our money but once you have it, we are expendable. I used to love Bioware and sing your praises but man, I hope you all burn for this because the way you have treated us loyal buyers of your games has been nothing but disgraceful.
If Bioware spent more time on the game itself rather then a multiplayer no one asked for or wanted (Which really is nothing special and generic) and less money on all those endless commercials and advertisments, maybe you could have devoted that time and money to having fixed this issue you all knew existed before you sold the game and hell, made the game as good as ME1 and 2..
Free tip for Wednesday Bioware: You can't cross a bridge that you have burnt down.

How about- information giver. Ie- a release date for the patch.
I dreamt last night that the patch was released early- but you had to go into the downloads section of Mass Effect 3 to get it.

Also X2three great post.
As gamers we know when we pick up a game made by say an infinity ward, rockstar, bethesda, bioware, 2k to name a few, that we are going into it knowing we are buying a quality product. We just assume that when we pop in the disc we will get that high production value. When something doesn't come out right like in the case of ME3 and not being able to import our sheps, it shatters that trust with that developer. **** happens but when it does we would, and should expect that the problem is addressed and we are apologized to from the top. We got a low level lackey at best, post a couple sentences about someone trying to work on it. This is unacceptable and it means in the future when picking up a game from bioware, I will now hesitate on buying right away or even at all. That's just sad and they did this all on there own, just not smart business sense. They may have talented developers and programmers but their PR department is non existent.

I am as ticked off as anyone about this issue, but I don't think picking on someone who's just doing their job and is probably as frustrated as we are at being pushed into this mess is productive. Even if they're named after a cat. And located in Sweden (I'm convinced Sweden is to blame for the loss of Mandalore's Sovereign and Interrupt videos - BW doesn't seem to care about YouTube videos using Mass Effect scenes, so it must have been Gunther!)
Wasn't picking on the cat. I was asking among my many points why he is getting involved if he knows next to nothing more then what Chris has already told us and doesn't offer us anything more then what has already been offered aka NOTHING!!
This new cat doesn't come with apologies and Mea Culpa in hand, he simply parrots what Chris already said so why bother?? That was my point, not in attacking the Cat who I am sure being from Sweden knows some good heavy metal bands to follow and taverns where Swedish babes can be found aplenty.

Please Cat, unless you can tell us why the game was shipped with so many problems despite knowing about them or when the patch is being released and how encompassing it will be, can you please leave it to the sporadic posts by Chris to inform us. After all, we have been waiting 3+ weeks for this fix that should never have had to be made let alone an apology so we are now used to the pebble sized offerings Bioware is giving us now.

Heh, I only put 10 minutes into the game and stopped, didn't even get past the char import screen. Sigh, it's been almost 3 weeks now and my CE is just collecting dust.
