Another weekend...ANOTHER 3 day weekend and I cannot play a game I paid for. Unbelievable.

I'm going to return mine on Saturday.

I'm almost thinking the same but I got mine delivered from France (IN express because I couldn't wait to play it ) and it's not gonna be easy to return it from Australia without loosing money...

I should have kept my money for the Tex Murphy's Kickstater project in May... You know, helping people who tried to give life back to a serie we love, rather than giving money to people who wants destroy the serie we love...

Well.. after a looooong week since I received the N7 edition, I launched the game for the first time today and..... all the faces from the 3 profiles that I have been using since ME1 are totally messed up... :crying: Time to replay some games that I bought at Steam and redeemed on Origin I guess...:?

Do we have to send you cupcakes to get your attention and respect ?

I'm really over it, checking this forum every hours, try to launch the game every night... Gamers are angry but instead of keeping us in the loop, you bury your heads in the sand. And I'm sure that if someone would cross the line on that forum and tell you what he really thinks, his Origin account would be deleted within the hour...

Yea I know tell me about it. If I said what I was really thinking I would have been banned for sure. That's why I'm saying someone has to go to Bioware's HQ and try to get answers. If they refused to see you and called security it would show their cowardice towards the subject. Or if someone is friends with someone at Bioware they need to interrogate him.

I added more lines to my poem. It goes like this:

Bioware used to care
Baldur's Gate was oh so great
Neverwinter Nights felt so right
MDK2 was something new
Jade Empire engulfed me like fire
KOTOR was never a bore.
Mass Effect took away my breath
Dragon Age was all the rage
Mass Effect 2 they tried to stay true
Dragon Age 2 things started to go blue
Mass Effect 3 my Shepard cannot be
Sadly, Bioware don't Biocare

Many aspects of ME3 have already been spoiled for me because I haven't played it yet and everybody else has, which is annoying enough, but the fact that this still isn't fixed is sending me insane, I cannot believe we get punished for having played ME since the original.

I haven't touched the game..so I don't know..do the weapons holster during convos or on ship? It would feel awkward to be like "hey companion what's up" while pointing a gun at them XD

Well to be fair, Bioware or any other company is not duty bound to deal with every guy who walks in off the street wanting a chat.

Urgh, this stinks.

The N7 edition is now 30% cheaper than I paid for it at launch (now A$100), and the regular edition is now down to A$40 (50% less than at launch).

I have to say, I've never felt so ripped off by a games company.

Game-breaking face import issue aside (and overlooking the terrible PR), I'm sick of EA/Origin sign-ins. I'm sick of the extra minutes it takes to start the game just so EA can check up on me. I'm sick of the IOS apps that require hourly grinding to keep the bogus 'galactic readiness' statistics up. I regret the hours of boredom spent trying to unlock bonus content (e.g. Kingdoms of Amalur... terrible game, pointless bonuses). Ultimately I'm sick of feeling like I have to jump through hoops just to play a game I paid top dollar for. All the extra apps and downloads and cross promotion are impediments to the fun, not 'value ads' as I'm sure the various middle-managers describe it.
What's the outcome of this appalling situation?
This story will probably never be concluded for so many players. Like lots of others, I have given up a few hours in because it doesn't look (or feel) right. Even when it is corrected (if it's corrected), the whole experience has been soured.

I'm done with both Bioware and EA. Hello Rockstar, 343 and indies.

I'm going back to Skyward Sword. It may not be have the promotional tie-ins but it's a complete, working game.

I didn't realise that was too much to ask for.

The weapons have always been holstered in conversations since the first ME, unless you actually made a choice to draw the weapon in the cut scene, what are you talking about mlouden03? Have you played ME before?

Yes he played, because he's right. You misunderstand him. It's not about the converstation. There is no button to take the gun away in ME3 (in non-combat period). So if you start the mission with a drawn gun, you will finish the mission in the same position. You can't put it down. No button for it, hovewer there was in Me1 and Me2. But I think it's not annoying at all, it's just 'troll-food'.
Annoying is that I can't play with my favourite femshep. I have two sheps I rebuilt in Me2 after Me1 (how good decision was that!) so I was able to play the game through. Not as many fans here. But still I have 4 more sheps which are affected whith this issue...
Dear Bioware, please give an update about this fix, I think we deserve that.

False.  They said they have fixed the import issue, not that they have finished the patch.

So why would they test a patch that's not finished? Duh. It says they are testing it now until it passes, then it gets released.

Wrong. I invite you to read the first post of the thread. They have a fix and it will be included in the next patch, that's all what we know...

I'm still waiting for my first playthrough.

What bugs me is that an update that says something as simple as "the last time we, er, I mean, 'our friends' had to deal with an issue like this, they had to wait X days for the patch to go through the certification process, Y days to do all the paperwork, and showstopping bugs restarted the process one time adding Z days for a grand total of X+Y+Z days that you're likely to have to wait" would make me feel a lot better.

(Will we ever hear the story about how an essential part of the game was overlooked for this long?)

Under Australian consumer law, if a product has a critical fault, you can demand compensation for the depreciation in value of the item from the time of puchase, to the time of repair. This is what I will be doing.

I also posted the following on Kotaku in response to their article on Bioware rejecting the cupcakes:

Bioware and EA... seriously. Most BUSINESSES don't have the LUXURY of IGNORING customer criticisms and problems.

I find it so damn ironic that people who complain about Mass Effect 3 are labelled 'entitled whiners' then read press releases and statements from EA and Bioware.

EA and Bioware are the 'entitled whiners'. They think they deserve money for second rate products, and they cry and point at review scores when they get told otherwise.

We aren't going to CELEBRATE you heaping **** on us EA. Get that through your thick corporate skulls.

Capac, clearly the most mad customer here, but I don't argue with your reasons. Impossible to truly defend what they done.

ME3 isn't broken, it works. Problem is the most important parts of an ME game like face imports, good ending ect has been horribly overlooked. Don't know who's at fault, but someone clearly did think that these are very big deals. Well they are to any ME fan.
