So far my experience in ME3 has been "......." Thats really all I can say honestly.  I cannot play single player because I cannot import my ME1 & ME2 face into ME3 due to character creation restrictions in ME3.

I cannot play multiplayer because the credits you earn cannot be spent in the store due to the bug atm that consumes your credits but does not give you your reward.  Lost over 300,000 credits on spectre kits this way.

Lion, you need to get in touch with the other Bioware employees & get all this straightened out.  Its almost a month since release & the game is unplayable.

Thats ok Martinez. We know no one else at your company feels that way, but we appreciate your concern. Dealing with cupcakes is clearly more important than us.

Anyone else think the chip-in organisers may have laced the cupcakes with laxatives? :innocent: ;)

EDIT: added winky smiley muhahaha

Good morning all,

I'm very sorry that this is dragging on and that we don't have any new information for you at this point. I wish we did. As mentioned I don't expect your frustration to simply go away because I post this and you are still entitled to voice your opinion until we can provide a solution.

When we DO have more information, we will make sure to deliver it.

Cheers for the update mate, I'm pleased to see somebody who works for bioware has some initiative at this point.

People are mentioning that the patch is in cert atm, but i'm yet to see anything offical on that matter. Can you let us know what point the patch is at this moment? Or if it even is the first version of the patch? It's been a while so i presume that something was flagged so it was sent back for revision.

Anyways, is it too much to ask for some sort of free DLC after all of this BULL****?

From EA? HAHAHAHAHA

No. EA doesn't believe in giving their suckers, I mean customers, anything. I have evidence of this in my emails to their customer support.

Sorry, but this just isn't enough. It's nice of you to show your face and tell us nothing in person, but for your own sake, just don't. We're still told nothing, the problems are still there, Bioware still looks incredibly bad.

Why can't anyone at least tell us what exactly this promised fix is actually fixing and how?

It's nice to see that i'm not the only one who is upset about this. I just want to say to bioware that i was looking forward to this game for a long time and even more when the day came to pre-order the N7 Edition. I get home and i import my character only to see that it is some weird looking guy that doesn't look remotely close to what i had in part 1 & 2. so for weeks now i've been forced to stay away from forums, friends who play this game and anything that is ME3 related so that the story doesn't get ruined and it is quite hard to do seeing as parts of the story are starting to reach me some how some way and its being ruined. i find it very unfair that majority of the mass effect community was able to enjoy the game in its entirety while i'm still waiting on that amazing gaming experience that was told we would be able to engage on when the game released. i know you guys are working on the solution and a lot of companies would take their sweet time or none at all to do anything about it so with that i say thank you BUT having to have waited this long to play the campaign is starting to get ruined for me. i know it was my choice to wait it out but at the same time it shouldn't have been a choice for anyone to make. every person who owns this game should have been able right then and there. i want to know is all your doing for those that had to go through this is just make the patch and call it a day or are we going to see something good come our way for the major inconvenience. now im not looking for a big DLC content or anything like that to come our way but maybe like an "apology coupon" sorta speak. like a really really good weapon pack/armor or something to show that, hey this was our bad and that you can be like hope this makes it up and helps make your long awaited game experience in the campaign worth while. I hope someone takes the time out to read this and consider what was said here. I love the ME franchise and hope i can continue to support it but don't make us afraid to give you our money so that you guys can continue your amazing work. I thank you for your time Bioware.

You shouldn't thank them, they don't want your thanks. Unless they can spend it, they don't want it.

Still no patch, and once again we're getting the silent treatment... you'd have thought they'd a have learned a lesson by now.

How would they differenciate between people affected by this and those not? To be honest, if they issued free DLC because of this issue, and gave it to everyone and not only to those who'd been affected, i'd see it as a slap in the face.

There will not be any free DLC because of Face Import problems as far as I can see. They might issue some bonus multiplayer content in a patch, but if they did, it'll probably only be a map at the most as ofc they will want to sell multiplayer DLC packs with that kind of stuff in. Single player content, well if they added some of that wihtout changing the endings there would be uproar :P

(which I haven't seen yet because I haven't played mroe than 4 hours or so singleplayer, and to be honest don't think they should change even if it only turns out a screen that says "Hey! Thanks for playing")

Someone posted a pic of the screen at the end and it basically said "Well done, Buy more DLC"

And there was no ending cinematic previous to that?

I doubt that

There aren't any satisfactory ending cinematics from what I've heard.

after this face import SNAFU, I doubt I´ll buy any DLC from Bioware for a good while.

In fact, I would not preorder anything made by Bioware ever again.

Can you tell us whether you have asked the devs this question (below)?  It sounds like they haven't given you an answer yet, but can you say whether you have asked them about it?

Do the developers / management consider the issue in this thread to be a defect?

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/9739936/

A lot of people have posted about it at that link and in this thread, but Bioware hasn't said a single thing about it: not only whether it will be fixed or when, but they haven't even said that they acknowledge that it's a problem.

So, are the developers aware of this problem? Or do they consider that it's working as intended, and not a problem?

Dear Bioware!
It is *NOT* enough to post every few days the same information:
"We know nothing, we say nothing".

That's not how to treat customers.
Basically, I even find a DLC (that is not free) in general a slap in the face of the customers, because we paid for our games and we expected to get the whole game, not some part if it. It's like buying cars without windows, heating, radio. All these things are not necessary, but still they belong to the product. And thus must be included in the price.

But this thread is about the face-import-issue. Still. For 4 weeks now.
And not even a information what is *planned* to fix. Or if the missing assets will be added. This should be fairly simple to answer, if you would care about your paying customers...

Gaming industry is BAD!!!

Ugh. I've seen enough Skyrim references to last a lifetime. I haven't even played it.

LOL You should play it now. I wasn't a fan of Bethesda style RPG's before, but Skyrim changed that. Besides this patch is a ways off. Chris said he will post when he has news and well...

Oblivion's enemy level scaling turned me off the series. Then internet obsession turned me off Skyrim. The 2 Greg Keyes novels are awesome though.

this is just Bioware way of doing business - they released the game we bought because of ME1 and ME2, they have our money and that is what matters, they know that we don't matter much because of that.

By the time they release a ME prequel, a couple of years will have gone by, all this will be forgotten.

In the meantime, they trust all of us will buy all those DLC, even those that right now are vociferously complaining.

Of course their reputation right now smells bad - but that is a price they are willing to pay.

Unfortunately for them, after creating a game that got you so emotionally involved, I think people will have a very long memory about this... esp. since they'll be reminded of it every time they play a ME game.

Prequel? err... No. Thanks but no thanks. ME 3 is definitely the last game in the series I will purchase. I've better things to spend my money on (Like Fallout 4, Elder Scrolls 6, or maybe even the next Zelda game)

I hope they fixed the face import as a whole and not just the ones that gave an error message. Because I got no error message for mine but it still wouldn't import the face.

They knew about this for awhile. Look at all the promo material. Look to see 'import your previous shepards looks' anywhere in there. It is not from what I can find. Glad this was important enough to get marketing to fix liability with returns but not enough to actually fix.

A year ago they scrolled me with the Dragon Crap II, and because this "face" issue I still have not played in Bug Effect 3...

I definitely won't buy anything else from them. Why should I?

Look at CDProjekt RED and their "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings", yeah... there were few problems with game's launch (bugs etc.) but they makes fast patches, give free DLCs (Enhanced edition stuff will be free for PC version), communicate with fans and ofc. their games are amazing (for me Witcher 2 is the best game of 2011). They are opposite of BioWare...

Ps. Sorry for my english....
