I'll ignore the "you're a moron insult" & simply reiterate the fact this face import glitch is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. If you like others are turning it into such a big issue I can only assume you have selective memory regarding the quality of previous games & consoles.

I believe this gaming community has gone mad, as you're incapable of enjoying one of the industries best releases due to small glitches & story issues.

"Irrelevant in a grand scheme"?! I think not. This thread is filled with many people who would say otherwise. It was an advertised feature since before the first game even came out. The whole point of Mass Effect was a trilogy with the same character throughout all 3 games. So for us who have waited 5 years to finish a story with OUR Shepards it is a big deal.

If your ok with the import face glitch then you either:
1. Never played ME1
2 Never played ME2
3. Your not affected by it
4. Used default Shepards
5. You feel no emotional attachment to your Shepard what so ever.
6. You don't like ME enough to care about such features
7. You play it just to kill things and don't care about story at all
8. Your a Bioware fanboy who tells himself everything will be alright.
9. You don't like ME at all
10. You have no soul
11. You work at Bioware/EA

Apparently "broken game" = "small glitches"

The only way you'll get EA/Bioware to listen. Not with your votes, but with your "wallet."

OutpostNorth: As a big selling point of the game was continuing to use your character, not even being able to BEGIN the game due to a Face Import issue (Note: This is coming from the perspective of fans who CARE about their character and want THEIR OWN FACE), is a HUGE, let me repeat, HUGE issue.

Why- it means you cannot even BEGIN the damn game!

In a previous post OutpostNorth said that the graphics in ME3 are amazing and because the graphics are so amazing we shouldn't even worry about the "small import face problem."  To him graphics make video games. Whether the game works is irrelevant to him al long as it looks good.

That should give you an idea of just who you're trying to reason with.

its like you say the answer to this is pretty simple, though i doubt many people will do it, is to not buy any games developed/published or even distributed by EA they need to realise that if you f**k with us we will return the favour

you're screwed either way since EA and Activision are at both ends, but if you really want change then that's the only way to do it.  it's pure and simple, EA doesn't care if it's voted worst company.  they can serve all the **** sandwich they want and you know what?, people are going to eat it cause that's all they have to chose from.

as long as people tend to accept mediocrity with a smile and open wallets, EA and Activision will continue to do what they do worst cause that's all you'll have to chose from.

Maybe they are finally about to release the patch,... for the game everyone and their aunty have already completed,.. yay!

All thanks to console certification and bad decisions/ management @Biowore we get a 2-3 week old patch on PC at some point.

They should do it like Bethesada with Skyrim (in terms of patching) releasing betas ahead of finals and also before/ paralell to pending console certification. Everything else is basically ****ty for their customers (us),..

No thanks, I'd prefer NO company follow after Bethesda. Do you really want backwards flying Reapers, non-working ammo abilities, etc...?
Bethesda is a great example of a company that releases games a year before they're ready, then breaks them further with patches, all while eating cake and posting pictures of this to celebrate their atrocities.  Bethesda, like EA, get good reviews and win awards by buying them and threatening to remove all advertisement and review copies of games if they do not get good reviews from a reviewer.

As for PC not getting the patch yet:
1) The patch will not actually fix the problem, just suppress the error message.  EA/BioWare do not want this news out there, I am 99% sure of this.
2) With the vast majority of players (of this game) on consoles, and the cert process, it makes sense the console patches would be worked on and completed first.

"...EA’s acquisitions over the years is massive, and they’ve killed many beloved brands in the process. Recently, Bioware seems to be their latest casualty, as the company now seems more dominated by EA’s influence than ever."

"How can you argue that video games are art, when pieces of the story are cleaved out to be sold separately?"

So over in multiplayer forum there is talk about problem with people receiving too many packs after the new operation. Wanna bet that gets fixed in less than 1 week's time.

I really hope that the trend of getting financed directly by fans catches up with big developers like BioWare. ;)

This article raises a great point. If they charge for the new ending I'm boycotting EA. They're testing us; pushing our buttons on purpose to see what we'll pay for. I don't have time for the drama anyway, there are plenty of indie games out there that don't make me feel like an idiot for playing them.

If people buy ending DLC, they roll around in money.

If people don't buy it, they say 'see, everyone is happy with the ending as it is'

Either way, they still keep :pinched:ing us

Luckily my Shep just imported with the wrong eyebrow color Thankfully ME3 lets you tweak your imported characters, unlike in ME2 (what a bad idea that was).

I got my fem-Shep close to the original. I did notice that some of the features, look perfect from some angles, but look changed for the worst in profile for instance

This has gone on long enough I have to say. I didn't realize it was so long since the game had come out. While I'm not as upset as some people (and you have every right to be) this is a sad situation

I, like many, have to wonder how a major game can be released with such a glaring error. Aren't these things tested? The best feature, one of the main features surely you would think that would work.

I have given up on the patch anyways...I doubt it will fix much.
Here's what I did (only a suggestion of course)
-I played through ME3 with my "Mexican" Shepard. The ending was enough to make me puke, but the entire game was good!
-Rather than start over I jumped back to Mass Effect 2 and remade my Shepard, got him almost exact the way he was the first time I ever built him...I used the Genesis DLC to "complete" ME1 as I did not want to play through that one again (I don't know, I didn't like ME1 as much as ME2)
-I'm still playing (and really enjoying) ME3 multiplayer (I want my galaxy rating high if I do decide to import my "new Shepard"
-When you play ME2...you'll realize it's far superior to ME3. They took so much out of ME3. I thought scanning planets was annoying. I long for that feature to come back compared to what you can do in ME3 with your scanner. How about enemy types. Really, there are 3 different types of enemies in ME3...how many were in ME2? A lot more than that. The list goes on I'm not naming everything. ME3 is still a great game, not what I expected, nowhere near the epicness of ME2 IMO.

That's all I got.

Good to see people haven't given up on this. I started and finished my first play-through with my "acceptable" face which I posted about 100 pages back. Apart from hair colour, he was my Shep - thanks to the community fix.

All I can say is, without spoilers, once you get to the ending (as it is now) you'll realise that this may be a blessing in disguise. The game itself is amazing but the ending is awful. Take your time and wait for the fix and, hopefully, new ending. You'll be glad in the long-run.

Hold tight and keep the faith <3

Faith? Thats pretty funny. If you have faith in Bioware and EA you should seek help from a medical professional.

Have you ever wanted to soar through the sky?

Buy our 'Jumping' DLC this May, all the freedom of propelling yourself off the ground and through the sky for the low low price of $15!

Includes a new floral print set of overalls, and a new particle for fireballs at NO EXTRA CHARGE!

Experience how truly 'Super' the bros. can be, Coming Soon!

*edit* Queue viral video, showing by implication how stupid the chumps are who play the game without jumping, and how dynamic and synergistic jumping is to your gaming experience.

(Make sure that all the reviewers that reviewed the game with the DLC included sign their NDA's so they can't tell anyone about how you removed a core feature to sell later.)
