I can't help but think now that this patch has been delayed by the ME3: Extended Cut DLC. They mentioned certification testing, but do we know for sure the patch is in CT? The Bioware devs might still be writing it.

Or worse yet, they might release both simultaneously.

I really hope that's not the case. If it is I might as well F-it and be down with the game.  It's almost starting to feel more like a chore than something fun at this point.

Yeah.

Even if you believe in Indoc theory to be how the ending functions (and even with that, it is unsatisfactory), it is ruined. The first time playing it and reaching the end just didn't click for most people. It's too late now, to repair that. And I bet the writers at Bioware are hitting the bottle right about now. Having to re-write the ending to what was essentially a part of them must be dire.

Bioware as a renowned RPG developer have practically castrated themselves altering this.

Then when you consider the face import issue - it hasn't been a successful release at all.

I just want to play through the first time with my face. I am willing to wait to have the "importance of artistic integrity" discussion once the patch for the buggy importation comes through.

I'm still amazed Bioware has been so silent, even if EA is silencing them. Freaking EA, I think we should have a fundraiser to raise the money to buy Bioware back.

Well, when you take into account the mistakes that were made with Dragon Age 2, and now the utter cluster**** that is Mass Effect 3, it's looking dangerously like the Bioware that created such classics as KotOR and Neverwinter Nights, or even the more recent ones, like Dragon Age:Origins, the original Mass Effect and ME2, is pretty much dead and gone, and the word 'Bioware' is now reduced to a label EA likes to wave around if it thinks that will sell some games.

Mm, sad but true I think at this point.

Everytime I sit down I get a sharp pain on my rear end and its extremely sore. Anyone else feel like this after purchasing ME3?

Hahah wtf.  Thankfully no. Doesn't sound pleasant and quite possibly  too much info.

(Emphasis above is mine)

The press release clearly (and sadly) states that there's no rewriting going on here. The ending isn't changing; they're just adding epilogues and additional cinematics to try to tie off some of the numerous loose ends. Which, to me, sounds like a glorified "Animal House" ending. Which is really unappealing.

As of this time on the East Coast, it's been exactly 1 month since the game came out and we're still waiting on this patch.

I sure really hope that this patch isn't "delayed" due to the Extended Cut DLC that just got announced today, but like some of you pointed out and reminded me, the patch has been going through certification. I wonder what's up because I think it would've been released by now.

Not trying to diss BioWare, but it's been a while :(

I'll be very surprise if some of the rubbish Chris said turns out to be true. Whats happening here is textbook Bioware.

The sad thing is that the face import problems have been known since the release of the demo. So it has been almost 8 weeks...

So are we going to have to wait until the summer for a patch that will address the derp faces we currently have?
