MS cert isn't QA.... MS doesn't make sure the patch does what it is supposed to, it only makes sure it doesn't break the 360.OmegaSpartan91 wrote...
The PC patch had certification? Cause if tomorrow the 360 patch doesn't work, then WTF is wrong with Microsoft's QA?

This patch wasn't successful in resolving my facial import issue. I did not make any adjustments to Shepard's facial structure between ME and ME2, and used my save file from ME2 for ME3.
I don't quite get how this happens:
Wow...that's...
I'd be interested to get Bioware's take on that one.

Yeah it's fix alright. Technically you can say you can import a ME1-->ME2-->ME3 game. The face just doesn't look the same (at least for me), but you can do it. I don't expect anymore, I'll just do it manually and figure it out. My Shepard in ME3 does not look like the one in ME1 or ME2. Did it work for anyone?
It worked for one of my Sheps(the rest already worked fine, since I'd changed/modified them for the ME2 import), except for the hair and mouth shape being off - after adjusting those he looks like he did in ME1.

Can you post a picture of your ME2 squad screen? Does it really display a code? Because if it displays a code, then you should try the code deletion workaround.
You don't need to have made any adjustments, just visiting the customization screen and going back to your imported face when importing from ME1 to ME2 screws things up.

Hmm...Chris says he's going to update this thread tomorrow.
I'm guessing it's going to go like this: "Problem is fixed. Thread locked."
Are you implying that this is the level of customer service we have come to expect? lawls

I'm playing new adventures with new characters already, my classic Shepard is shot. BioWare, I'll be damned if you ever get another dime from me. You can seriously kiss my ass. I don't even have the patch yet (360) and judging by the PC players on here and the pics they have posted, forget it. Disgusting display of an attempt to fix something that should have never happened.
Gibbed editor? I don't think so. I shouldn't have to resort to that...this is the lowest of lows. Can anybody think of a bigger mess up in gaming history? This thread will be closed tomorrow, problem solved.
If I saw Chris or whatever his name is, I'd consider knocking his teeth down his throat. And that's what he deserves. Ban me if you want, I'm done anyways. Pieces of **** no good mother****ers.

Who knows, maybe they will even delete the thread. That was a popular choice for moderators last week after the announcement of the "ending dlc".

I never entered the customisation screen in ME2, just accepted the facial import when loading the ME save, and this is the code it generates in-game (same as what shows up in ME3). I ended up doing a custom face to the best of memory, but it was just irritating having to go through all that.

So.... how did the patch get approved for release? Who certified it? This is ridiculous. I'm awestruck by the complete amount of screw ups and moronic steps that all had to come together to make this monumental problem get widely released not once, not twice, but THREE times. It was pointed out in the demo, and was not fixed. It was allowed to make it to launch, and now this "fix" is nothing more than an automated version of a fan made fix. Holy crap Bioware get off your damned asses and fix this properly! Get people on the certification team who actually give a damn!
I want my money back.
RIP Shepard.
Basically the same people who approved the issue being in the final product in the first place. Did you really think this patc was going to fix the issue when its the same developers, same testers and everyone in between who caused this issue to start with?
And surprise surprise, no sign of The cat (Lion), Chris (yet) or anyone else from Bioware to address how the patch has done nothing for a majority of people. Customer Service 101 - Rule 01: Don't treat customers the way Bioware do if you want to stay in business. I will laugh with glee when Bioware ends up in the scrap heap like so many other game developers and they will have earnt it.
*Edit*: Just updated my fiancee's ME3 and checked her saves. Surprise surprise none of the imports came over correctly either. Bioware would have made a better effort with the patch if they simply gave us the middle finger then release this patch that does nothing.

If you delete the code and can import, but it doesn't look right (usually female), then you have this problem: http://social.biowar.../index/11073023
Unfortunately there's no good fix but to approximate, it seems… if you can, hop over to that thread, maybe ask @masseffect to take a look and so on, so that we can get some confirmation that BioWare is bio-aware of the problem.
So, unless there's an answer from Priestly tomorrow, the only thing to do is to try contact BW otherwise to try to get some kind of an answer…even if it's “no”. Don't spam, don't rage, it's better if there are several people asking once (politely) than one person asking several times.
Be clear that this is NOT the “Face Import Bug™”.
You can give the link above for an explanation (or the other one specific to this remaining problem). Can reference this thread, too, but I think it's best to keep the issues separate to avoid any further confusion.
@masseffect on Twitter – Probably best to try to message during their business hours, i.e. something like 15:00 – 00:00 UTC.
There's also the Facebook page if someone uses that. PM'ing staff is probably going to be useless, but who knows?

It looks like BioWare locked out all of the options for the "default" faces. So if any of your settings are for what the default Shep would look like (the most visible examples are hair style and color) then that is no longer available to you. As such, it breaks your import with no way of actually fixing it because that option simply doesn't exist as something that can be customized. To wit: my "custom" Shep uses the default hair-color, style, and a few of the facial features, none of which are available to me now.

So for us xbox owners, we should get our patch within the next 6 hours or so?
More likely in the next 10+ hours

My only hope is to wait for an SDK or a modding software to create a hairstyle similar to the ex-default femshep's.

I just don´t get it. How did they manage to recreate every NPC face to astonishing detail but our Sheps looking so plain at the same time...?
Rofl, that's pretty bad? So what have you got to say Bioware? ... Bioware? ... Hello! Anyone home?

Athena Sheperd is looking petty good. What has been changed just make her look a little older, which I greatly appreciate.
Jonathan Sheperd wasn't that lucky... there's just something wrong. I'm glad I was too impatient to wait with him. My facismile at least bears a resemblence to him.

Sorry, when is the Xbox patch released? Was it 10th for PC and 12th for consoles?
9th for pc and 10th for consoles, I'm staying up to at least 3 am (pacific time) for it. It's not looking good though.
