My patch finally came, and what can I say?
I'm disappointed.
When the announcement was made that there would be a fix, I had hopes that a thorough fix would be available that would restore the original ME2 facial features. Clearly this has not happened.
Here's one thing I have noticed though, from skimming through the thread "ME3 (Fem)Shepard Faces Significantly Worse Than ME2, or Just Me?"
People have posted their results post patch and some of these screenshots look strangely familiar. First if all, here's a screenshot from a guy called Hicks233:

https://lh6.googleus...5%20%282%29.jpgPerhaps I'm wrong but it looks like these supposedly "unique characters" are just roughly the same face. I'm no computer expert but it's almost like they couldn't fit the facial features from ME2 into their new engine and get it to line up properly. So, they deliberately created a set of character cration assets that would agree with their new graphics engine. Hence the drastically different and reduced number of features available for CC. While I'm on the subject, has anyone noticed that in these cgi cut scenes, "Shepard" looks a lot different from in game?
Therefore were Bioware/EA, or whatever they're called now, ever going to give us the patch we wanted? It may have required a drastic overhaul that would end up clashing with other parts of the game, if my hunch is correct. An overall that they were not prepared to commit time and resources to?
I think an explanation is in order. Someone from Bioware/EA needs to answer three simple questions, no beating around the bush:
1) Was it ever possible to re-introduce the ME2 CC system, or would it have led to game failure?
2) Can you look at all the ME2 > ME3 character comparisons posted by the many people on this forum (bear in mind there is more than one thread dedicated to this isue now) and say with a straight face that there is no difference?
3) Did you, at any stage, consider announcing the problem would not or could not be fixed?
