Has the patch released on 360 yet? He said it would arrive by Wednesday even though it was supposed to come out today.

No patch for 360 yet.  Some guy on another forum said 3 pm eastern standard time.
Who said it will arrive by Wednesday?  I was under the impression that patches are put on xbox live in the early morning, but for some reason this one is later.

I can't wait until Priestly comes into this topic.

I'm really wondering what he will do.
I'm guessing he will just lock the thread...

will he actually come into this topic  today? it requires actual information and not snide comments or anti christian jokes so not sure if he would be helpful or not...

really? this patch i've waited for an entire month didn't solve it?!

You can now import your face from ME1.  Whether it will actually be the same face you were expecting is another matter.

He probably will, however he will just make everyone even more angry.  Or perhaps he he will just ignore it and give more useless statements.
Also, what happened to our friend Lion?

Well, he said so via twitter. I don't know if it will be helpful or not. I'm interested either way.

What is this with twitter all the time?
He needs to do his job here not on Twitter.  I for one don't use, think, or care about Twitter.

If you delete the code and can import, but it doesn't look right (usually female), then you have this problem: http://social.biowar.../index/11073023

Unfortunately there's no good fix but to approximate, it seems… if you can, hop over to that thread, maybe ask @masseffect to take a look and so on, so that we can get some confirmation that BioWare is bio-aware of the problem.

So, unless there's an answer from Priestly tomorrow, the only thing to do is to try contact BW otherwise to try to get some kind of an answer…even if it's “no”. Don't spam, don't rage, it's better if there are several people asking once (politely) than one person asking several times.

Be clear that this is NOT the “Face Import Bug™”.

You can give the link above for an explanation (or the other one specific to this remaining problem). Can reference this thread, too, but I think it's best to keep the issues separate to avoid any further confusion.

@masseffect on Twitter@BioEvilChris on Twitter – Probably best to try to message during their business hours, i.e. something like 15:00 – 00:00 UTC.

There's also the Facebook page if someone uses that. PM'ing staff is probably going to be useless, but who knows?

I will, after Priestly updates this thread. Seems like they're really confident that it was fixed with the patch.

Just found out that next week at best buy Mass effect 3 will be $40.
Price just keeps dropping and dropping on this. It seems that no one at Bioware/Ea seem to care either. But I guess it's their own fault no one is buying it anymore.

<sigh> I was writing a polite PM to Chris just asking for some clarification on how this happened as I think that leveling with us might improve our view of Bioware. I was basically saying that Bioware's silence on this issue is deafening and that it is making matters worse. I even added a blurb about how I know it sucks to run damage control over a game issue which you had no part in.. all this, written more eloquently than here, just disappeared while writing..  :pinched: anyway..

Here's hoping that we receive some sort of explanation as to how and why this bug was in the game. I'm very nearly done with Bioware. I've played and enjoyed many of their games, but I won't overlook the glaring faults in ME:3. This whole situation has soured my view of them and I am very unlikely to purchase future Bioware games. A horrific ending to a great franchise and a very sad ending to what was once a fantastic games developer. :crying:

My face still won't import patch fail.
I feel depressed not only because my main character is still out of action but in my self for daring to hope and believe it would be fixed so soon and so easily.

If the patch isn't out by the time I get home from work, I will be pretty angry. I've been fairly cool about it up to this point, but I will really be livid if they don't have a patch out by like 6 or 7PM ET

What's '3PM Eastern time' in respect to BST? I presume -5 hours or so?

Don't waste your time massblacker. The explanation is pretty simple, they don't care. This isn't a priority issue for them and they won't bother to fix it. Like I said earlier, kinda sometimes working is good enough for them.

Please don't conflate the two problems! I'm not saying this to be mean, I just want to make sure that BioWare understands that they're not the same. It'll make it harder for us to get them to deal with the problem otherwise. There are two bugs:

1. Unable to import altogether (error messages, blank faces, male <-> female) [Should be fixed in the patch, sometimes you need to manually remove the face code]

2. You can import the character, but it doesn't look the same, and you can't make it look the same no matter what you try. [Not addressed by the patch]

The remaining problems are #2 variant for which there's a discussion thread here: http://social.biowar.../index/11073023.

I know people have brought up the #2 problem in this thread before, but it seems that either BioWare did not understand that it was a separate issue, or that they can't fix it (or don't care about it). So we need to be extra clear that yes, the import function works, but the character does not look the same (presumably because of mesh and asset changes between ME2 and ME3).
