Has the patch released on 360 yet? He said it would arrive by Wednesday even though it was supposed to come out today.
Who said it will arrive by Wednesday?
Priestly said it would be on consoles by "Wednesday the latest" on Twitter. Someone linked it a few pages back.

no face code. though i know that there's little hope of getting the same face in me3 especially with that haircut.
If you haven't yet, check out the female face problem thread: http://social.biowar.../index/11073023. There are some tips to try to get closer to original there, but of course it might be that they won't work for you.

Please don't conflate the two problems! I'm not saying this to be mean, I just want to make sure that BioWare understands that they're not the same. It'll make it harder for us to get them to deal with the problem otherwise. There are two bugs:
1. Unable to import altogether (error messages, blank faces, male <-> female) [Should be fixed in the patch, sometimes you need to manually remove the face code]
2. You can import the character, but it doesn't look the same, and you can't make it look the same no matter what you try. [Not addressed by the patch]
The remaining problems are #2 variant for which there's a discussion thread here: http://social.biowar.../index/11073023.
I know people have brought up the #2 problem in this thread before, but it seems that either BioWare did not understand that it was a separate issue, or that they can't fix it (or don't care about it). So we need to be extra clear that yes, the import function works, but the character does not look the same (presumably because of mesh and asset changes between ME2 and ME3).

Funny... MP DLC was released on time, a completely unnecessary bit of content, while the patch has yet to arrive.

You're not the only one. I wouldn't be surprised if Chris (and others) just keep on ignoring us, I mean we're only their most loyal fanbase what do we know about what makes or breaks a game?

It is disgraceful that BioWare was working on new content for multiplayer when they should have been FIXING THEIR BROKEN GAME. I am disgusted.

I thought the problem was now that it approximates the face code, but the face code isn't the same in different games, thus resulting in different faces.lillitheris wrote...

The face I reconstructed through a combination of the YAML method and tweaking in ME2, then exporting that code to ME3, is EXACTLY, 100% THE SAME as the one that this patch allowed me to import. In other words, this patch just runs through that whole YAML/tweaking stuff for you. If the YAML method didn't work, this patch won't work either.
The best part about all this is that I ****ING CALLED IT. In this thread. I got fed up with waiting and played the game with my own yaml-reconstructed shepard, and I said that when the patch eventually comes, it probably won't be any better. It isn't. It's exactly the same. I'm so glad I didn't hold out on playing for the entire month it took BioWare to put out a patch that Bethesda would have put out in a day.
I've since finished the game which brings me to the horrible ending, but this is not the place to discuss such matters.

#2 Even divides further into a) the issue where previously available features have been removed andthe meshes and textures have been changed.
a) May be fixable, but is not likely going to be fixed. (Not sure, but I suspect adding features involves making them compatible with the new mesh...? Ergo, too much work for a too low priority issue.) My money is on not going to be addressed. (Although I'd gladly lose that bet.)Only fixable with major overhaul, that will likely cause an uproar because it'd change MANY other people's Shepard's. Also, too much (unpaid) work. Therefore not going to happen. Promise.
The sad, cold reality is that due toplus lighting/animation/rendering etc. our Shepards as we know them are lost.
The meshes/textures can be released as a compatibility patch that is optional. If you want the ME2 compatiblity, install. If not, then don't. Whether Bioware will or will not is questionable (and track record is showing unlikely). Changing the meshes/textures will likely be taken up by player mods if Bioware won't do it. I've already been able to fix a few issues with my headmorph, but it is a very painstaking process I'm only undertaking because I'm too stubborn to let it go. It further instills in me resentment that I am doing this at all. According to their stats, 80% of people use custom faces. This should not have been an issue.

The patch does nothing that the YAML method didn't already do.
What's the YAML method??
