No.  Not even 80% of us are reporting success.  This is a catastrophe.  The face I had been given prior to the patch & after are "exactly" the same.  The only difference is the error is gone.

Aye, it is. I've been asking on forums and twitter for days where I should send a written complaint to but so far nobody from bioware or EA has responded.

This problem is made ten times worse by the way it's been handled, and that's what I want to complain about. I hazard a guess if they'd been more forthcoming, there wouldn't be anywhere near as much hate in this thread as there is.

Btw, I checked that the sliders in ME3 (after the patch) are in such positions that corresponds to the positions of the sliders in ME1. The problem is that your face will be quite different (for most of the cases) in ME3.

Even in ME2, putting sliders in such positions you can't have the face you had in ME1 (though the import works correctly in ME2) - that's why the game puts a default code when you try to customize your face in ME2. And when you import a face with such a code, you a like WTF is this?!

So basically what this patch does is not "like YAML" approximation, it just puts the sliders in the same positions you had in ME1- lol.

Yeah its not the magnitude of a companies' rating on the "F*ck-up-Life-O-Meter", it's the morals that go behind it and the targetted audience. EA took "Greed is Good" and turned it into "Greed is ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL of good game developers to suck them dry then throw them away like a banana peel".

BoA is...well...a bank. Every bank f*cks up. Not every game developer f*cks up. They're not supposed to. Neither are.

Uh...that's exactly what the YAML method does.  Only difference was it failed to generate certain slider positions.  But even then you could just go back into ME2 and customize according to the YAML generated code and fill in the gaps by comparing the imported with your newly created custom appearance and then copy that face code.

Trust me it's what I did.  Seeing as the patch does the same exact thing.  It's kind of a fail.  What BioWare fails to understand up to this point is that we don't like the new animations and look.  Also, they've given no reason why they can't make it work like it did going from ME1 to ME2.

Priestly can we get a official response on this matter?  A "very" large portion of the community can still not play the single player game as our characters look nothing like they did in the previous 2 installments.

Heck if you don't like the game or bioware's patch then why the hell you're here? then stop playing mass effect and grab some other game like Dear Esther or something! geez... you people who always complain deserves nothing at all. Other companies out there will not create great games like mass effect anymore because of your attitude and will probably just create some stupid shallow games that you will never care yet will give them money. I was left with the impression that YAML+Gibbed creates "intermediate" values, i.e. ones you can't get with any slider's position?

Well, I found the time now to try the new patch.
And I must admit that I was able to recognize her. The time in jail must have modified some colors slightly, but I finally have her back.
Now I will suffer the ending soon.

Ah, and I will NOT EVER play Multiplayer, I will use a trainer tool to increase these combat points.

Well, I paid 80 bucks for it. If BioWare says they're taking their CE back, I will not play it and return it.

ETA: Besides, Mass Effect was fine, it's when I fell in love with this franchise. That was 5 years ago. ME2, as someone said, was the best in the series. The problem is ME3, which doesn't even come close to ME2's quality and breaks so many promises made and expectations raised over years that it cannot honestly be defended with a straight face by anyone not BioWare/EA, a newbie or impressionable teen.
It seems to me that it's the loyal fans who get the shaft, and people new to the franchise (and I count many of those who started with ME2 among them, especially PS3 players) simply don't have the same level of attachment, excitement, emotional involvement and expectation and they dare to tell us to stop whining.Why don't you shut up and leave me alone with your low standards. Enjoy your washed brain and sub-par games.

Hey Kya, been seeing you alot on these forums generating positive suggestions & feedback for the community.  Really appreciate it.  Thanks for being persistant.  Hope that our efforts amount to something.

So my intention had been to wait for the patch, since I got the error message when importing my FemShep and was offered the default face instead *sob* 

However I lost my nerve when it became clear the patch would not be coming out yesterday and spent a good four hours recreating my old FemShep as best I could with the sliders available:

Ironically, my new concern is that they wouldn't have been able to do the same or better anyway, despite just using resources available in the current ME3 sliders. Will be interesting to see what the import offers me once patched!
