Third here. I love that they fixed it to where now the shepard I have had in the last two games can continue his fight against the reapers as I had him originally design. Good Job Bioware for getting this fixed and the new DLC that came out as well.

Would the last 3 posters like to share your pics with the community?  Would like to see your success stories, considering there is so much evidence that leads to the contrary.

This is what I was afraid of.

They provided the easiest solution they could within reasonable techncial means (I am NOT stating this is or should be acceptable to players that still have major import issues) and will likely consider this a final solution as long a a majority of issues are resolved. Patch did resolve my Chuck Shep import (looks very close to my ME2 Shep) but I can feel for those that still come up with default Shep and understand your angst.

I'm going to keep my snide comments to myself on those that are still complaining about hair being parted on the wrong side or some similar minor issue.

Hey guys/gals

My results are mixed. The patch imported face seems to be close to my ME 2 face but it did NOT import properly. My hair was off, but easily adjustable. One thing the patch did for that i couldn't replicate before was my eye color. I adjusted my hairstyle to ME3's version of spiky hair in the front and started playing.

It doesn't look exactly like my old Shep but it looks like nobody will get a face looking exactly the same due to the graphic upgrades in ME3. Kind of similar to Anderson. He looked exactly the same in ME1 and ME2 but looks different in ME3.

That's my result, recognizable but different. I'm sorry for those who couldn't even get my kind of result. It's incredibly frustrating and I hope those still affected band together and continue to ask Bioware to fully address the situation.

That will require some answers on Bioware's end such as:

1) Did Bioware ever intend from the start for players to have the same exact face going from ME1>ME2>ME3?
2) Why can we not currently import the same exact face from ME2>ME3 as smoothly as we did from ME1>ME2?
3) Bioware, are you planning to continue addressing this issue or are you going to accept the results thus far?
4) And questions still on a lot of people's minds, How did this happen? (How did this pass testing? How was this missed? Are we ever going to get an explanation?)

So I deleted all my me3 data in the hopes that the patch would take. Now I can't redownload the patch. Any suggestions? (360) ta.

Edit: crash glitch now. Well atleast I'm not forced to consider betraying Aera Shepard any more :D

As this thread seems to be deliberately ignored, I started a new one with a summary of the problems that still exist on page one instead of scattered between page 300 and 350. Please consider posting your "STILL not working" examples there:

My FemShep did not import. This is ridiculous. I can't even recreate her because her facial features aren't even in the ME3 CC. You guys did it right with ME2, what the hell happened with ME3. Please fix this the RIGHT WAY. Please.

My characters that got the error message are now 'imported'. Although I have to say it seems they just received the closest looking features available in ME3. One of these characters I rebuild myself using one of the methods available and it got me better results (on X360).

So this 'fix' isn't really anything to be proud off, ME2 did a much better import from ME1. Characters looked the same but with better graphics. ME3 seems like a downgrade to something between ME1's and DA2's graphics. Bioware here is a tip: anything in the direction of DA2 is NOT good.

My third character (only female) who didn't gave the error but instead just showed the standard custom shepard face is still not working. Not one of her features was imported. So the 'fix' doesn't even do the little fixing that it should. Btw, all my characters are from ME1! Thank you Bioware for supporting the long-time fans...

I had to find that out the hard way. Locked on me when I tried to post. Luckily my browser is more reliable than Be-Aware so I could still retreive the message.

I got a fairly decent import from my first Shep. Though the the CC is totally untrusthworthy, as it differs a lot from how it looks in-game for my part. So i kinda had to import my shep like 7 times to see all my progress ingame :P

Here are my examples.

ME2-ME3 import after patch (facecode deleted)
Image IPB

I had to change my slider positions in the CC.  This took a lot of trial and error. Compare the difference.

ME2: 933.J1P.118.C8B.78S.15S.3MA.AD1.QGB.IL5.636.275
ME3: 733.J1P.118.C2T.78S.15S.31N.6D1.KGB.DL7.636.472

I had to change from face mesh #9 to #7 in order to get the right base structure. This distorted the remaining features and I had to do a lot of trial/error + photoshop overlays in order to get the proportions back to normal. Then I copied a number of Offset Bones attributes from a ME2 save game into ME3. This corrected my base facial structure. However, the eye shape has changed, which I cannot alter with the tools I have. This ends up making my Shepard look more 'cute'. Here's after my alterations:

Image IPB

There's more examples and history in this thread.

I created my ME1/ME2 characters in the CC.  I never used any custom headmorphs or any other alterations.  It should not have been necessary to use a save game editor to get back my original settings.

What's so funny about it?

This just shows their utter disregard for fans still having problems when TPTB consider a problem fixed. And fans trying to be helpful and summing up the reported problems because they have every reason to believe they're being ignored.

Without any acknowledgement of the problems reported here after the patch was released this thread is nothing more than gag. Pun intended.

Here's hoping Chris will actually update the thread, like he said he would have done yesterday.

I think I'm getting delusional.

I was laughing like "haha....they have time to lock threads speaking about the issue, but not to answer to the actual issue, and tell you to speak in the sticky thread about it, but then ignore said sticky, and if you point out that they're ignoring their own sticky thread in another thread, they proceed with ignoring you, locking your thread, and telling you to go the sticky."

It's an ironic, hypocritical loop, which is kinda funny.

This is my problem also. Good job summing up my experience and feelings to the letter. I wish I had 'error message' Sheps to import. Alas my one true character won't work. I wish I didn't care this much. Bioware got me invested by making great games and now I'm so hacked off. I think I need to quit forums, swear off games, and move to a monastery.

 Or go back to MW2<_<

Thought I'd mention my problem as well:

ME2 to ME3 worked for all of my ME2 toons (they received some minor changes, but it's completely acceptable and it makes them look a bit better, actually).

ME1 -> ME2 -> ME3 is still not working at all. The weirdest of all: 2 of my ME1 toons are default BroSheps, and ME3 gives me a random chubby face that's nothing like the default BroShep. Fortunately, I can get around this (only with them) by choosing the Default option, but this doesn't solve the problem for my other ME1 characters who are completely redesigned by the ME3 import...)

Holy ****. Wasn't expecting that.
Back on topic: um, nothing to add except :crying:. Oh and:

@Kya: Thanks for trying your best to help out. That moderator locking your thread? Dick move. The least they could do is let the community help itself.
