I'm trying the PC fix trick on the Xbox. I can't hold out any longer. I figure their patch fix might not be much other than this process being done automatically.
What is this trick?

I feel the same. I was able to get most of my Shepard looking fairly correct, but the nose is just an abomination no matter how I tweak it. It either looks like it's been broken 10 times, or it's wider than any human nose has the right to be.Scenemissing222 wrote...
This is such a bummer. I finally stopped waiting for a fix and decided to bite the bullet and try to recreate my Shepard using the ME3 character creator. Fail fail fail fail fail. I couldn't really even get it close, and when I just started messing around with it just for fun, it seems the character creator itself pretty much sucks. Is it just me or does a lot of stuff (particularly the noses) look pretty goofy? This is unbelievable to me. I'm still just baffled that Bioware decided to go ahead and ignore this and ship the game.

Ah yeah, the appearance issues are probably far more glaring for you than they were for me then since you've played so recently. I haven't played ME2 since I finished it, shortly after its release, so its been a while. I definitely recognized that the import face was wrong but my recreation was good enough to mostly fool my mind since it had been so long. After about an hour, my new Shepard just became Shepard and I honestly can't recall what the minor differences were any more.ThomasDW wrote...
I am sure going to wait for this issue to be fixed before I do that.
It is a pity that the element of continuity has been lost - I played ME1 in December last year and ME2 this January, ME2 being better than ME1 in both gameplay and graphics, maybe that raised my expectations too much.

it's sad that i can not enjoy this supposedly great game because my shep won't import. can't we just get a guestimated date for this fix
We don't know the extent of the issue, we don't know whats going on so no we can't. Just remember that M$ and Sony have to test the patch before its released and that might hold up PC release, if they won't do release it at the same timejbg927 wrote...

I've been gaming since I was 5 years old, and after 21 years of playing games (that makes me sound so old), this is the most disappointing product launch I've ever experienced.
No film, game, console, hand held, toaster or flavor of frozen yogurt even comes close.
Bioware may claim until the end of time this was a bug, but I truly don't believe they are that incompetent. Whatever gross lapse in judgement brought this about, it has killed my faith in this company. A suitable fix may restore it. But imo, this is a colossal screw up that would be exceeded only by your choices not coming over.
I hope Bioware surprises me with how they handle this.
Not really.Link Ashland 614 wrote...
If you have the face code inside your ME2 save to import, the import WILL work
