I'm getting a unable to complete request from the legion.cal24.pl/me2 website. What now?

Just keep trying - It took me about 10 minutes before I was able to get on.

It was working fine for me until I uploaded the xboxsav file. Man I'm going through a giant emotional rollercoaster now.

So did you press refresh the whole time or go to home menu?

Just started my round with me3 with xbox360. What could be tha matter because when I'm trying import the character, there are only me2 characters, which I made for me2. Not any of my me1 based characters (which there are 5) are not on the list. I've played through 1 and 2 with these and now I cannot even get the decisions I've made to the me3. Face I can reconstruct but the decisions? lé fu.

and no, I haven't saved in the cloud, the same hdd and xbox360 all the time.

So, I'm having the same issue where I can't get my usual Shep face back that I made for ME1, just the choices. I'm wondering: If I just use whatever different face, will it go back to the original face once the fix is made?

We got screwed by faces not working right, but I won't begrudge them day 1 DLC, well typically I won't begrudge someone day 1 DLC, but in this case, they clearly knew this was going to be an issue and I wish they had spent the time fixing this instead of the Day1 DLC

Yeah, what's the point of having beta tests if it's released with major bugs like this anyway? :/

Actually, I think I did a combination of the two.  I know I finally got on with a refresh and after that I was fine.  This was last night though(US, 8E), no idea what it's like now.

Bioware has never failed before, they just need to deliver as fast as possible this fix

No, that seems impossible.

I wonder why the press has not made this issue become more Important like they did with the Skyrim PS3 problem.

Probably because the game is still playable, where as PS3 people actually couldn't play Skyrim?

The day one DLC doesn't even bother me. They do it all the time, I'm used to it, I just tool up and buy it. I'm like, whatever. Nothing worth getting all upset over.

This issue, though. No, this issue killed all my hype and I only just now got it back this morning when I, myself, fixed the problem.

Oh I aggree, I'm used to day 1 DLC and like I said, I don't begrudge day 1 DLC because I know a game doesn't go gold the day before we buy it.  I agree that this has killed my desire to play ME3.  On Tuesday I was bummed when Amazon said my game would be arriving on Friday, but since I read this about 30 minutes after getting notified by amazon I haven't been as bumed anymore. Also, when it does finally get here, I plan to just play the MP anyways.

I seem to have done something wrong, perhaps caused by my repeated attempts of clicking the buttons instead of just pressing "Enter" after typing the name in (Didn't realize I had been trying with my ME 2 save up until now as well). When the page comes up, everything is described as "FAIL", the code just being made of Capital Cs.

Any further advice? (Never been good at technical issues. Also, I'm on the PC version)

If Bioware really honestly cared about their loyal fanbase who has shoveled money at them since 2007, they would give us an ETA on when to expect this patch. =]

I'm just saiyan'

I don't know if they really know what the ETA is either.  This page:   [https://help.ea.com/...?showhome=true]   proves that they knew about the issue beforehand and allowed it to make it into the final game.  Whether this is because they didn't think people would be upset or they  just didn't care, I don't know.  But they may be trying to figure out a way they even CAN fix the facial system, so an ETA might not be realistic.

So...they really DID know about it and thought it would be fine....*facedesk*.

And no updare yet...sigh.

Wow no update still? Pretty disgusting on Bioware's part, they should just tell us how long it'll take. Even if thats a guess I'd rather hear "in 2-4 weeks" than "We're working on it"

That, I don't know. Honest to God, I'm not very good with technical crap, either. I just found instances of everyone else doing this or that and put them all together.

I did find someone mentioning "FAIL" several times in the code they got, though. I'll see if I can't find that post, as I'm pretty sure someone had a solution for it. Might take me a little bit to dig it up, though. Not sure which thread I found it in.

Also, quoting this for anyone who cares to try it and missed it a few pages back (it sounds more complicated than it actually is):

KunamiMata wrote...

Here is basically what I did.

1. Start a brand new Mass Effect 2 save file with your Mass Effect imported Shepard. It has to be brand new, because you're going to need to move, not copy it, to a USB flash drive that is formatted to work on your 360. You don't want to do this with your finished game save, so make sure it's a new one (i.e. right when you wake up from your coma, save and quit).

2. Go to Settings in your dashboard, System, Storage, Hard Drive and find your Mass Effect 2 save (not "Mass Effect 2 Importer"). Inside, you should find files for all your DLC and each of your careers. They will all be named after your Shepards and dated. Move the career you just created to your USB flash drive (don't copy, because the Xbox won't allow it).

3. Download and install this program on your PC (it's best to have this version): hotfile.com/dl/143431599/02eaea8/Modio_3.zip.html

4. Plug your USB flash drive into your PC, and using Modio, select Open from a device. Click the device you see. Mass Effect 2 should pop up in that list. Select it, then select your Shepard's save file. When the following window pops up, click the File Contents tab at the top. You should see several .xbsav extensions. Right click one of them and extract them all to your desktop (or where ever you prefer).

5. Go to this website and register on it: legion.cal24.pl/me2/

6. Once you've registered at that site and logged in, click the My saves tab at the top of the page. The specific save file that you extracted to your desktop (or where ever) that you're going to want to upload here should be named Save_0001.xbsav. Go ahead and upload that save on this site.

7. You should now have one save listed at the top of that page with a string of options following it. The second to last option on that row is Morph head. Click that option.

8. Now new options show up. You want to click Export YAML. It should download a file to your computer called morphhead.yaml. Check this file in Notepad to make sure it's all in code that you can read (only read, not necessarily understand), otherwise the file is mucked up and you have to try this step again.

9. Once you have a decent YAML file to work with, upload it in one of two places, depending on the sex of your Commander Shepard -

Female Shepards will upload heremasseffecttools.99k.org/femshep_upload.php

Male Shepards will upload heremasseffecttools.99k.org/maleshep_upload.php

Remember to add your Shepard's name, because it's how you recover the face template code.

10. Lastly, you're going to want to get your Shepard's code, again in one of two places depending on the sex -

Female Shepards codes are heremasseffecttools.99k.org/femshep_code.php

Male Shepards codes are heremasseffecttools.99k.org/maleshep_code.php

All you need to do now is enter the name you typed when you uploaded your YAML file, and bam, instant Shepard readout and code for your Shepard. There will be a little tweaking required (as pointed out by the ***** asterisks), but it shouldn't be anywhere near as bad as trying to recreate your Shepard from scratch. It'll generally be little things like hairstyle, makeup color, or eye color. You know, the easy things to remember and fix. Everything without the ***** next to them should be correct, though.

And that's pretty much how I got my Shepard back without waiting for any sort of patch. You just enter that code you get at the bottom of that page into your custom character creation back on your 360 copy of Mass Effect 3 and do the necessary tweaking and you're done.

Anyone remember how long it took the DA2 team to get their first big patch out? It was at least a month, right? That's probably our best case scenario.

Can you at least tell us whether the fix will require starting the game over again or if  it can be applied after you start ... many of us are holding off playing the campaign to wait for the fix.

The problem remains, though, that many of us can't get anywhere close to our Shepards even using this method. The assets simply aren't there.

ME2 isn't bad, and well i'm not fan of DA2 in general i respect bioware just for KOTOR an ME series, they just need to be quick in this fix, for today or tomorrow at max

I just put a helmet on my character all the time. It is sort of like I put a bag on his head. Because I noticed with the helmet on the part of the face I do see looks like my shep.

I played 7 hours with this game yesterday - that said, I will try the insanely complicated method KunamiMata shares above. If it comes out close, I will probably restart. Its worth a try, as I eventually gave up and went with a totally different look, that 7 hours in, I really don't like.

I think it's safe to say that any patch will NOT fix Shepards that are already in a campaign. Unless they come up with something analogous to that mirror in DA2.

I am sure that at some point while developing the code for ME3 this dialogue took place

dev 1 - but with this mesh faces in ME1 and ME2 can´t be used

dev 2 - so what ...

dev1 - people are bound to be angry about it

dev2 - don´t worry, this won´t be an issue

...
