I was going to wait, but then I realised; what can bioware do, even with a patch? If it's impossible to recreate your Shepard with the CC tools as they are, then nothing's going to change with an update; they're not going to update the CC, and so Shepard will still look *wrong* to you. All that's going to happen is that the process that KunamiMata illustrated will be added in game, (as it should.)
The only problem then that I have is if they change it so that renegade scars import - then I'm going to be really pissed off that I didn't wait. xD
But otherwise, I'm pretty happy - Shepard looks a bit younger now, but that could always be put down to the fact that she had a lot of scars, and looked a bit beaten up before, and now she doesn't.

ME2, the left, ME3 on the right.

What we need is not patience but
what we need is PRESSURE ! Otherwise we may well have to wait for months
at least, if we are lucky. We purchased a complete software, not a beta

to re-write them.
Give us our Shepards back!

My femshep looks angry all the time.
Her eyes have changed too much.
I know, the new eyes look very "unfriendly." I found that no matter what other aspects of the face I changed, the eyes always seemed to kill it.
Glad im not the only one who thinks the eyes are wrong, i got my sheps face the same but the eyes just dont look right!! maybe its beacuse im so used to them glowing red!! shame you cant import a shep with all the facial scars!!

And isn't that Bioware's greatest goal? To engage the player on an emotional level? Such a colossal failure, I still find it hard to believe.

I think if you've done the code recovery and re-made your Shep off of that then there is probably little chance of improving it further. The only thing Bioware could do at this point is push out new Shepard models and you know that isn't going to happen.

Can I get away with just giving Shepard some stubble in ME2, or is that not enough change to get it to import into ME3?
I tried that by changing the hair style on my ME1 Shep in ME2....look above your post....
I used the new facecode I got, and he doesn't look alike at all =(
Guess I'll be waiting for a patch, then:(.

Tried again to play last night. Still completely disengaged. I can appreciate the game from a technical standpoint, but there's no emotional attachment to anything.

another issue, the game as a whole. There's far too much dialogue in the first
1hr30min of the game and far too much stilted dialogue. See ME2 and
ME1 had a lot of combat broken up by fighting, ME3 has a lot of talking broken
up with some forgettable fighting. Maybe it gets better after the first 1.5hrs
but right now I'm thinking this is a really bad game. Its gameplay is meh, the
graphics (character animations) are terrible, the dialogue seems stilted, CC
issues, lack of actual combat far too much focus on pointless and uninspired
writing.

It gets slightly better but there are far too many loose ends to tie up that were not properly addressed and its just sloppily written. On top of that, I really want to know the name of the person who thought that the sprint/roll/cover button should be the same as the action button and why they are still employed. I cannot help but barrel roll while trying to revive characters that were behind cover in story, while trying to activate doors, or while trying to revive players in multiplayer, just cause its the same button which was a huge design mistake.

Then took the code and put it directly in ME3. Only thing that looked off was the eye color but other than that. It's MY shepard. God that was a relief.
Try that guys.

I had to wait till 4am on friday to play me3...
friday and saturday are my only off days and i'm tied morning to evening working and i don't really get time much in the evening to do anything other than eat and sleep.
Would you know what would happen to me if during my job i screw up like how bioware did?
I will be fired.
I could be fined.
I might be jailed.
I am really looking for a refund and take this game away from me because it is nothing but disappointment.
If one person had an issue , that's bad , if 10 people had same issue , coincidence, if 500 people had this same issue... someone has screwed up and it should be looked into.
I feel bioware knew this issue and decided not to mention or fix it till it got released ... i mean would you buy a car if the company making it said there's something wrong with the break system and we'll fix it for you?
