Without my Shep's eye color, she just ain't MY Shep. Shelving this one for a while.

Yup, I had this issue in the demo as well. Please come out with a fix soon, Bioware.

And we mean SOON.

Yes, when one pays sixty dollars for something, one gets to make DEMANDS.

They could be brothers, but they are not the same....

After some failed attempts of recreating my Shepard(2 playthroughs ME1 and 2 playthroughs in ME2), I think this is the most close as I can get with the current character creation. The reason a possible patch/fix/workaround is going to take weeks is because I (as a programmer) think they have completely overhauled the CC in ME3. As you can see in the picture illustrated above, the bone structures of the face and general skin complexity is way lower than in ME2. Also there are less option available to change.

If they want to reverse the CC back to the CC of ME2(Which will be HUGE fix), they also are going to change the characters which have been created with the CC of ME3, which in turn will upset new players to the series.
And that is not even the biggest problem, as I have seen some characters in some movies on youtube who have returned in this sequel and they look entirely different aswell. So it almost seems impossible for Bioware to fix.

Ashley Williams:

Ah yes...remember back in 2010 when graphics were better?  Those were the good ol'days.

All ME2 faces seem to get downgraded in ME3. They even look like ME1 faces graphically.

My thoughts exactly. It looks like a beta version of Mass Effect 1. I mean it's bad enough not being able to import my femshep face from ME2 but the level of quality for ME3 is horrible.

I've been messing with the cc for hours with no success to get my femshep. What a sour way to burn our excitement for this game. :(

Please make this right, Bioware. This game I paid $60 dollars for is unplayable until you fix your mistakes. But don't expect me to thank you. It is your responsibility to do the right thing. Just fix it so we can move on and enjoy the game.

Is it just the faces that are broken or are other choices lost during transfer?
I know they never fixed some of the import choices with ME2 (verner for example)

Hope this gets fixed soon. I miss Ray's face. I can't recreate it well :(

I've been playing multiplayer to pass some time, but it's not the same feeling I was expecting when I came home to start the end of Shep's story.

if they made the faces longer for the new facial animations they wasted their time. the new animations are so exaggerated they make me cringe.

And what’s with femsheps eyes being huge and sticking our during the court room scene at the beginning of the demo? Just looks silly.

I am an extremely visual person. In games it takes me hours...sometimes DAYS to be satisfied with a char. My Shep was no exception. :*(

I have had my custom Shepard since the day ME1 launched had him for 2 years and 2 1/2 years through ME2 and when I came home from the ME3 midnight launch and saw i couldnt import my Shepars it saddened me. I hope this is resolved quickly, I'm really enjoying ME3 right now but not as much without my real Shepard.

****The renegade scars need to import too! What's the point of the scarring in Mass Effect 2 if they don't import - there was not another Lazarus project between 2 and 3! Bioware, this needs to be fixed in the next 24 hours.

I'm not playing until you fix this, guys. The characters are literally the reason I play the Mass Effect series.

if it only fixes it by matching the character options with the nearest equivalent in the current creator then they might as well not bother.. the character must look "THE SAME"...  ala ME1 > ME2

otherwise its like your playing a different Shepard..

I don't see why they couldn't make an exact fix for it. Especially since, if I've heard right, it actually DOES get imported to ME3 correctly... just not for the player character; only for a VI that has a cameo appearance. If it can work there, though, I don't see why it couldn't work for player characters as well - my guess is it's just an issue with the character creator more than anything else. I could say more, but... well, I already did: first post on page three of this thread.

If they fix this in the next day I will give them much prays for the quick responds to their costumers dissatisfaction to this problem that should of been visible before shipping to the public. but I think they have know of this problem but chose to release. and dam the costumer base we have really bad move bioware you have diminished my confidence in your quality control.

This is a pretty outrageous oversight on Bioware's part. I can't even begin to fathom how you ship a product like this out without this feature working.

I don't expect or demand a solution right away, it could be a very complicated thing to fix. But I do expect communication about this issue as fixes are being worked on. Even if it's "this issue is far more complicated to fix than what a simple patch can do. It will take us several days before we can push something to the games"

The uncertainty is almost as bad as the bug itself.

Seems like a funny thing to goof on. You know, since importing your character is one of the things this franchise was built on. I'm not even mad, just impressed.
