Mine does the same. Blonde brown-eyed preset face.Tobias Fenrir wrote...
Forgive me if I've missed something here, it hasn't exactly been very easy to keep up with this thread, but is absolutely everyone else experiencing an error message when they import? Because I do not. It simply just shows the Filipino-looking custom preset instead of my Shepard.

The meshes are just done wrong!
My character is just weird, but all others? Horrible!

I actually typed a post about this issue, with links to this thread, the 140 page one, the poll and fixmasseffect3.com and sent it to just about any game site I could think of, though I doubt anything will come of it. But seeing as how I set aside this time to play Mass Effect 3, and now I wont be, I figured might as well.
Ha me too. I am wasting all my time I would be playing Mass Effect 3 spreading the word. Kind of sucks, but not playing the game I paid for kind of sucks too. I woudn't be so pessimistic though. The facebook likes jumped up from 58 to 69 in the last hour on http://www.fixmasseffect3.com/. The increase will likely explode as more and more people become aware they are not the only ones experiencing the issue.
It is so weird though that I am not seeing others mention this on other forums. Are they all new players or EAxian employees?

Look what they did to my BELOVED Jasmine!!!
They turned one of the sexiest cat-like charming women I could imagine into a clone of that ugly uncharming **** of Ashley Williams!!
...and considering that I've sent Kaidan Alenko to the death-row just because I was jealous of his exceeding attention toward Jasmine, consider how pissed I am!!
Uuuuuhm, dude, you're one of the lucky people.

Maybe...but actually, I'd be curious to see some in-game shots of that character from 2 vs. 3. I actually think things aren't as bad in the cc screen. Plus, in-game is where it really matters.

That said, my Shepherd looks a little ridiculous. If this is how he had looked coming from ME1 to ME2 I'd have understood--he did basically tumble from a space ship to a planet--some things facially were bound to be twisted along the way.
Not going to let it get me down--the voice helps and I can maybe just pretend my Shepherd got some Botox or something. But shame on Bioware for messing up such a fundamental part of the game,

I've got a million of 'em, folks.
Whether you try the workaround or wait for the official fix to get your face codes...good luck with 'em.
To quote a scene from Army of Darkness/ Evil Dead
Sheila: "You found me beautiful once... "
Ash: "But honey.... You got REAL ugly."

I personally have made a Reddit and Twitter account, and plan to log on to my long forgotten Facebook account, just to increase awareness of this issue as much as I am able.
The more attention this problem gets, the more likely Bioware is to deliver a fix that won't be a simple bandaid and instead will allow us to truly import our ME1/ME2 faces into ME3.

What I want to know is WHY mine worked and his didn't. Is it random? What is creating this error?
My best guess would be that your face's features are all already in ME3, and the ones for the majority of us have pieces of the face that BW removed from the CC altogether (certain hair, eyes, etc.).
EDIT = Pretty much what Kastigar said.
That's the only explanation. So...how does Bioware fix this then? CAN THEY? Yeesh....

Frankly, what I'd like to see (and I'm not sure how feasible this is) is for them to simply let us import the 3D model from ME/ME2, and assign the new skeletal/animation structure to it. That's a patch that might take weeks (or even months) to deliver, but I'd rather wait months than play the game with a character that looks nothing like the one I've grown attached to.
I play Bioware games for the story, and the emotional attachment I develop towards the characters. WIthout her actual face, any feeling of attachment I felt towards my Shepard is lost.
