What did you expect? The game has only been out for a little over 4 days, that doesn't give them that much time to look at millions of lines of coding looking to see what went wrong. I know there were a few that said they had problems when the got the game a week earlier; but how were they supposed to know if this was a minor problem that only a few people had or a major problem that everybody had?
Becuase they have an entire QA department and a sufficient amount of documentation to figure out whether it was a minor or major problem before hand ? And while I see your point, I'd counter argue by saying 4 days could very well be a good amount of time. You and I both don't know how well or fast their team works. Somebody on the team that worked on that particular module of code or system must have some abstract idea of what's really going on at least by the second day; that's what the design phase and documentation of software is for.

Don't kill the messenger. You asked for an update & they gave you one. They didn't have to but they did. If you want an ETA, that is something that is not likely due to what I stated before with them not wanting people to lash out at them for not putting out a patch in the time that they said.
Okay, technically you're right. They did give an update; not a very useful one outside of pointing out the obvious but an update nonetheless.
In my opinion there's a worse backlash in not giving an ETA. It's not like they have to give a flat out promise. They could just say, "we'll try our best to get it out in a month." That isn't that hard and I think most people in this thread are reasonable enough to accept that even if BioWare fails in meeting that deadline provided they attempted in good faith to meet that deadline. It shows they care.
