Just go to Weapon Loadout in the hanger bay of the Normandy and you can see the individual and very specific goodies each weapon has to offer including:

weight
capacity
fire rate
damage
accuracy

Valkyrie does the same thing.. 3-shot bursts. Check out the stats in Weapon Loadout as I mentioned before. It is way better. I just tried them both. Definitely prefer Valkyrie.

I prefer the Valkyrie rifle. Major kick-back when using the Argus.

I thought the Argus was pretty bad. Too inaccurate for headshots with the amount of kick it has. I haven't tried the valkyrie though because I didn't get the N7 warfare pack :/

Word from the spoiler forum is that the Valkyrie is better than the Argus, but the Vindicator (which I think is just a regular in game rifle) has nearly the same stats and is half the weight.

Probably a lot of personal preference, I will check out the Argus and see when I eventually get to play...

But if anyone has got it yet, what about the Revenant? That was a pretty killer rifle, shame the Mattock isn't back (or is it?!)

This is true, i was testing them at the Spectre Shooting Range and the Vindicator was like the best all around option.

Argus is too heavy, too inaccurate but packs a punch.

Valkyrie is a bit better, is 2 round burst and 16 bullets magazine (8 shots), high recoil for a semi-automatic rifle, a bit inaccurate if shooting too fast.

Vindicator is the same as the Valkyrie only is half the weight, 3 round burst and 24 bullets magazine (8 bursts).

I personally wanted to use the Valkyrie for the looks, but adding 1.4 secs to my cooldowns is kinda bad.

Starting to hate the weight, my soldier seems doomed to carry only 2 weapons for an optimal use of Adrenaline Rush with a 3 sec cooldown D:

I tested the argus and vindicator quite abit at the firing range.

Honestly the vindicator has quite abit of kick to it as well.

Argus has alot of kick, but hits very hard especially if all 3 bullets hits.  The best mod for the gun as far as I can tell is the recoil dampener.  I only have the 30% and that noticeably reduces the bullet spread.

My guess and this has no math behind it, is that the argus at max rank with max recoild reducer and max damage or penetration will be beastly.

It's already my new favorite rifle.  I don't go for headshots with it, just center mass.  I can fire 2 center mass bursts and 2-3 enemies inside of the adrenaline rush and that is alot of damage.

Plus it sounds absolutely BOSS.

The chakram launcher is also very strong from what I can tell.  Without even charging the ammo it hits hard and is really nice during ar.

I don't have the valkryie, but I'm very happy with my m55 argus.

As a side note I've also been really happy with the n7 sniper and especially the n7 shotgun.  That shotgun hits hard and can hit a dime.

Haven't you played MP in the demo? Both rifles are back, both seem massively nerfed...

Revenant sprays all over the place - even with a scope and a recoil dampener. The damage is slightly better than the Avenger (~20%), weighs roughly 3x as much at X.

Mattock does less damage and is less accurate in comparison to the ME2 version - it's still far from bad. It's weight is a little higher than the Avenger's.

You may want to look up this spreadsheet. Upgrading a weapon increases it's damage, it's spare ammo and lowers it's weight.

Nothing beating the Mattock now... Same gun that was in ME2.. single shot semi-auto and super accurate! Massively powerful! It comes in a few missions.

This.  It's surprisingly mediocre.

Fortunately I'm playing as an infiltrator and don't use it anyway, but I wasn't very impressed when I tried it on the firing range.

As a side note, the Chakram Launcher is a neat gimmick but I don't know how effective it really is in the field.

I have to say I don't care for either of the rifles. The recoil is pretty ridiculous. Am I shooting an assault rifle or a cannon? So far I've stuck with the Avenger.

The Valkyrie is ok but I'm curious about the Argus now.  I chose the Valkyrie over the Argus the first time but I think I'll the give the Argus a try next go-around.

I'm enjoying the Valkyrie so far, and the Argus is good if you want a rifle that's more suited to getting in close. I thought the Particle Rifle sucked until I started using it as a semi-auto rifle. Now it is delicious.
