Argus has too much kick, the valkyrie though, aim at the chin and you'll get an exploding head everytime. My only real gripe is the heavier weight ia substantial. For single player the valkyrie is the only thing i use. Multi-player use the vindicator until the overlords bequeath us with the valkyrie.

Ironic that the burst weapon is very inaccurate compared to its semi-auto counterpart.

In the trailer, you can see the Argus hit one guy in the chest, arm and head with the same burst. That's not something you'd want for a rifle.

In fact, it makes me wonder what kind of half-assed military would want to make that thing the primary weapon for its infantry if it can't hit for crap.

the same half assed military thats getting its ass handed to it by the reapers xD

I liked the N7 Valkyrie. I used it religiously for Shep until I got the Harrier from the Firefight pack.I like the Harrier better in everyway but its ammo capacity.

Yeah, but in single player you can carry alot more weapons for sure so it's not an issue if you run low on ammo since you can just switch weapons.  In multiplayer there are ammo pack stations all around the map and you have a full ammo reload item to allow you to reload if you aren't near an ammo pack station so ammo really isn't much of an issue in multiplayer either.

The argus is one of the ****tiest rifles in the game. Goddamn awful at long range and too soft in medium and short range. You don't miss anything if you don't have it.

Humm. . while I like the look of the Argus. . I tend to agree with most here it is a pain in the rear to use. A tad to heavy, a bit to high on the recoil, and not enough extra ammo. It also has a odd pause to it after sending 3 down range. So close in (even while aiming at the feet of your target and letting the recoil carry the muzzle up,) you wait a bit of time waiting for it to reset for the next burst. In which the target can do a lot of damage to you.

But I generally like full auto over the 3 shot bursts with enough extra thermal clips for 5+ reloads.

Darn it, what I would give for the N7 Valkyrie Rifle.

I just had to pre-order from Best Buy.... (stupid) (stupid) (stupid)

The N7 Valkyrie Assault Rifle is a very sore topic for me. I pre-ordered my Copies ( PS3 and 360 ) of the N7 CE ( which I felt should have had the Valykrie as standard with all the other N7 weapons that were included but that is a rant for another time ) from GAME ( the guys who were doing the Valkyrie pre order here in the UK and Ireland ) and with less than 2 weeks til ME3's launch I was informed that GAME would not be stocking ME3 at all. So I had to rush to the nearest Gamestop and pre-order my CE's there, I thought they might have been doing the Valkyrie promo there as well since they were the main vendors for the promo in the US but apparrently they were doing some other promo, not that it matters, I did not recieve a single pre order code from them anyway not that I care, the only thing I really wanted was that blasted N7 Valkyrie rifle.

Back on topic, I haven't had the oppurtunity to try either weapon, I obviously don't hav ethe Valkyrie and I somehow managed to miss the Argus on my one and only playthrough of ME3. Based on looks alone though the Valkyrie looks cooler than the Argus, I'm not quite sure what to make of that weapon.

Ahh....

Just goes to show you how long it has been since I have played this game. I was actually thinking of the ( grabs ME3 strategy guide and turns to page 25 ) M-99 Saber, for some strange reason I got confused between the Argus and the Saber, turns out I don't have access to either assault rifle ( I don't don't own Leviathan and I have no plans to purchase it ). ( Quickly runs to google and looks up a picture of the Argus ) The Argus looks a lot like the Mattock, I like the Mattock but I still say that the Valkyrie looks better. I also looked up a comparrison clip between the 2 on youtube, I think the accuracy of the Argus looks woeful. The Valkyrie looks like the better gun from what little research I just did.

I thought the Argus was pretty bad. Too inaccurate for headshots with the amount of kick it has. I haven't tried the valkyrie though because I didn't get the N7 warfare pack :/

Padding the recoile dampener makes it where the Valkyrie has almost no kick back. It is a great weapon so much so that it and the valiant are my 2 favorite weapons by far in sp.

I found that it is manageable to use if your using the right class, equipment...and if that class has the right upgrades.

Here's what I used...and more or less it didn't even kick once

Character: Turian Soldier (yea...go figure...)

Marksman: 4-Firing Rate, 5- Duration,6- Accuracy and Firing rate
Concussion shot: 4-Force and damage, (5, and 6 are still up for debate...)
Proximity mine: 0 (I didn't bother putting ANY points in this because I personally found no use in it.)
Turian Veteran: 4-Damage and Stability, 5-Headshots, 6-Assault rifles
Fitness: 4-Durability

I used the magazine upgrade, and assault rifle damper V, I also tried it with the high velocity barrel (More damage against armored enemies), and the precision scope (Long range shots)

I didn't use a secondary at first but I was able to use either my Shuriken X, or my Predator X with minor Recharge speed Reduction. (In the end I was still +60% Recharge speed...not much...but you don't REALLY need Marksman...although the higher rate of fire can help kill foes quicker. and reduce the spread greatly.)

I made an update or 2 but when I (Roughly) Used this setup it didn't kick at all
