Yes. It's generally easier to promote. The sole advantage of the reset powers card is that it does not automatically put 1 point in the class's main ability - if you want a throw/warp human sentinel, for example, the point in tech armor is wasted.

Each promotion is worth 75 points in the campaign. You get +10 N7 for the promotion itself - and since you're back to level 1 and gain 1 rank per level, it lets you get 29 or so extra N7 ranks.

So how does the additional war assets added to SP work if you have multiple Shepards going? Do the assets go to all my Shepards? Are the assets divided equally across all active playthroughs? Do they go to the next profile you play as and are then spent? Is there a way to choose? I'm afraid to play SP now because I'm unsure of exactly how this works.

Pretty much - I've only found 2 reset cards so far, and by comparison, already got 4 classes to 20, with a 5th at 18.  The reset cards aint going to get used anytime soon.

You can promote a level 20 character (or rather a group), at which point it resets to level 1. If you then level it back up to 20, you can promote it again.

It gives you the choice to send your lvl 20 characters to their deaths.

The respec cards actually aren't too rare, my n7 is about 300 now so i've opened alot of veteran packs, and a handful of spectres, and i've received up to 7 so far, use 3, ending upjust promoting those guys anyways. unfortunate thinga bout respec cards, it doesn't respec the class, just the individual in the class. You want to respec your quarian engineer and human female engie? you have to choose one for the card.
