Hey all, hope theres still a few lurking through these boads and not everyones over at ME3!

I'm currently playing through ME2, wanting to get my perfect run before using the saved game in ME3, and I'm planning on buying all the DLC (Overlord, Shadow Broker and Arrival). 

My question is, when is the best time to play these? I've recruited Nasumi before going through the Omega 4 relay, since she's a squaddie and I want her in on the action, but with the other DLC, in my head I imagine them taking place after I've completed the campaign and defeated the Collectors.

Can I complete the game, and still carry on the same game (rather then beginning again) so that I can use this save file in ME3? I don't want to complete the game and find out I can only do the remaining DLC in a game plus, since I will then have to play the entire campaign again to have a complete save file for ME3.

Hopefully this makes sense. If not I'll suck it up and complete all the DLC before going through the Omega 4 relay, it's just in my head, Shadow Broker, Overload (and obviously Arrival) take place after the campaign. 

TL; DR: 
Can I play Arrival (and others) after I complete ME2 and not have to complete a new game for a complete save file for ME3?

I like doing Overlord and SB before the SM and Arrival after the SM. You can do them anytime after you get the missions even post SM and it is supposed to carry over.

I personally think LotSB and Arrival should be play in succession after the SM since the events of the LotSB are more tied to your survival from the SM and Arrival is very obvious to be done last. Overlord is done usually before Reaper IFF. Either way, just import in your last save in ME 2 for that character once you are done with everything. It doesn't create the fixed profile after the SM like they did in ME 1 with post-Saren.

That's great to know, thanks to you both. I was worried about a fixed profile like the first game, so ME3 taking a save after I've completed everything is great. Almost ready for it....
