Naw, nobody is lying. It has Carnage Shot instead of Concussion Shot - not a far leap of the imagination as far as lying goes.

I will say, however, that I do prefer the Carnage Shot.

I have the BF3 soldier. I also have and played online BF3. I was under the impression that all you had to do to unlock the character was play BF3 online??

Actually the BF3 Soldier is pretty awesome. Yes it has Carnage and as you know only the Krogan has Carnage. But....the Krogan cant roll or evade. So you get the Krogans firepower with the humans agility. Pretty hot if you ask me.

Since this seems to be the only thread about the characters I guess I'll ask here instead of making a new thread... Does anybody know how to get the Battlefield 3 Infiltrator? It's in the game files but I haven't seen any of them yet.

I originally purchased and play BF3 online on the Xbox 360. A short time after that, due to the number of exploits and bugs (hi! I can snipe through the terrain!), I returned the BF3 game to Gamestop; so I haven't played it in months.

I had ME3 pre-ordered for Xbox 360. I logged into multiplayer and the class was unlocked for me. I did not even hear about it prior to it being unlocked, so it was a surprise.

Not sure if that helps or hurts the discussion but I just wanted to confirm what and how it happened on my account.

Ive unlocked the bf3 soldier, and i've owned bf3 for a long time. The pack registered just fine.

The Battlefield soldier looks kinda silly. Also, the guy who used it last night was terrible. I will now forever remain spiteful towards the dread BF3.

Guys, I have to apologize here - the messaging should have included the fact that this is only on PC and Xbox 360. It's not because we wanted to treat those platforms better, it was due to technical restrictions on PS3.  (it's the same reason we weren't allowed to include PS3 in the recruitment program app on facebook).

Yes, that was pretty accurate. Honestly, I'm in this awkward position where I can't get too detailed, but believe me when I say BW/EA really wanted to offer it to all parties.

I imagine it has to do with Sony's security breach and tightening standards on that end making a quasi educated guess here

Have to wait until Friday to play but is it known yet if you get the Battlefield 3 pack when you have BF3 on PC and ME3 on Xbox? Or do you need to have BF3 on the same platform you have ME3? Thanks

Pretty sure they are platform specific (PC BF3 = PC ME3 MP skin).

Jarrett Lee, do you know if i buy BF3 now i will get the BF3 character? because nobody is 100% sure of that, i have seen some videos and the description of the character seems to imply that only people who already HAD bf3 before ME3's launch will get it.

What I cannot figure out is why it is (apparently) platform specific. I mean, all PS3 issues aside, shouldn't having battlefield 3 on xbox 360 or pc enable the character for both xbox 360 AND pc? It would seem reasonable...

If we could get an official response to this, that would be awesome!

Well Jarrett Lee, thanks for putting the issue at rest for us PS3 owners. Still sucks since I like the soldier class. guess there's nothing that can be done. Still someone has to take the blame. Should it be: Socialism? The Tea Party? Canada? Iranian Nuke Program? My neighbor across the street? or Schrodinger's Cat?

 Yeah, I don't have the character, but from what I've seen of and heard from other players, the only difference is that you get Carnage instead of Concussive Shot, along with the different visual look to the armor (which, as far as I can tell, also can't be modified any, so you're stuck looking like that).

Not particularly interesting, in my opinion.  It's a neat little bonus, but I don't feel like anybody's missing out.  You get Carnage with the Krogan Soldier anyway - for whom it seems much more appropriate.
