I see those words all over the explanations of using origin to install games and for having to have it running at all times to play and all that.

All I can ask is how the hell is taking the installation of a game from 15-20 min average to over 3 hours (and thats without any errors) a better customer experience?. If I plan on playing a release day game anymore from you guys that uses origin I dont plan on playing it, I now instead have to plan on spending my afternoon just installing it.

Sorry but thats just horribly wrong.  Why dont you folks just fess up and admit its mostly about DRM and not about the customers.  That part is there of course as long as you care about "being social" in every game you play but of course the real catch is that if you dont want those options your experience is inherantly worse because you have to run this program regardless.  If you were just interested in improving the experience it would be optional at all times.

Maybe you have the impression that people actually swallow that load but really why would you ever opt to force this software on us?.
