I've
run into a problem. I'm currently on Palaven, at a critical point in the
storyline. I emptied the Prothean assault rifle's clip then picked up the
Blackstar heavy weapon without reloading. The problem is, after using the
blackstar, the game doesn't recognize that I have a gun because the weapon is
empty and it breaks the animation. I can't reload, and just float around in
"Jesus" mode until I'm killed. Is there a fix for this?

The
save boots up with me holding the Blackstar with no ammo in the Prothean AR so
I can't just reload.

Have you tried switching weapons? Or do you only have a single gun?

I only had the one gun. I managed to beat the the level anyway by putting the difficulty down and power spamming. but I hope the same sort of thing doesn't happen again.
