So I've been watching videos of these Infiltrators who having the freezing power, it's some form of projectile shot from the hands like a Incinerate. How does one acquire this? It's not Cryo ammo, this ability instantly freezes a mob. Does anyone know what it is?

Cryo Blast[/b] is a tech power available to Sentinels, Engineers and Mordin in Mass Effect 2. When activated, the user's omni-tool fires a mass of super-cooled subatomic particles capable of snap-freezing targets within a certain radius. If the target's health
is low enough when frozen, it is possible to shatter it through the use
of weapons or other damage dealing abilities. Frozen enemies are more
susceptible to damage.Supposedly you get it Kaiden.

It's a defense improvement skill, like fortification and tech armor. Has a shield regen as a purge.

It seems like you can get 2 powers from each Squadmate. I don't know all of them but here are the ones I have:

Tali's powers are Energy Drain and Defence Drone.
Ashley Gives you Marksman
Javik Gives you Dark Channel and Slam
Garrus gives you armor Piercing
Liara Gives you Warp Ammo and Stasis

It seems like it might be based in part off how many missions you bring them on. at least as far as triggering the conversations needed.

Hmmm, well at least we now know who gives you what and what the powers are. Now the problem is deciding which to take. So many goodies, man I wish so bad we could make a custom class I don't want to play godly I just want powers I actually use. Being a Solider I love Adrenaline Rush but everything else I would be willing to trade out for something else. I don't even ever use cryo ammo... *sigh* I'd happily switch my frag for inferno Grenade if possible. So very tempted to switch to a new class at this moment. I miss my throw bonus power from ME1...

ash - inferno grenade, marksman
vega - fortification, carnage
garrus - proximity mine, AP ammo
tali - defense drone, energy drain
liara - warp ammo, stasis
kaidan - reave, barrier
EDI - defense matrix, decoy
javik - slam, dark channel (?)

I didn't get dark channel for some reason. I don't know how I missed that...

The bonus power terminal is in the medbay on one of the beds. Its next to the one that allows you to respec your talent points.

To trigger conversations that unlock bonus powers, just talk to each squadmate as often as you can. For example, you unlock Jame's fortification power by getting into a conversation with him while sparing. These types of conversations will be fairly evident. In any case, talk to them after every mission and you shouldn't miss anything.

I can't answer when certain bonus powers unlock in the game mainly because I don't remember. All I can tell everyone that is asking about that is, if you are doing a rush playthrough make sure you engage conversation after every single mission. I did a comprehensive playthrough and still missed dark channel, so I doubt there is an exact science to it.

You get Stasis from Liara if and only if you talk to her RIGHT AFTER Thessia FYI. I missed it because I didn't get a message to visit her and did a N7 mission right afterwards... at least I had a save.

^^^^^^ Completely true. If you have the DLC, there are 2 steps, but other then that, ^this person is correct.

I got Dark Channel near the end of the game... either before or after Horizon. I think it was in a conversation where Javik activates his memory stone and then tells you about what he sees.

No idea.  It was much earlier though, since it was one of the first powers that I received after Slam.
