Forewarning this will contain some spoilers, duh in the spoilers forum, and is only based on the first 9 hours of the game.
I will try to keep it short and do a proper one when I finish the game this is just going to summurize my thoughts so far but first some settings:
Difficulty Normal
class Soldier
Imported character from ME2 (which came from ME1 originally)
Full dialog choices
So far ME3 has been really good and also has let me down a bit. As some have stated, gone are the days where we could choose nearly all of our dialog options. Here are plenty of places where we can still choose but there is an overwhelming amount of autodialog compared to both ME1 and ME2 combined. However most of this auto dialog is actually good. I am not sure if it changed based on your imports or not however there was a part in the intro what was different where Anderson mentiones the events from Arrival. So I am thinking some things may change from save to save.
You get to see many familar faces including your team from ME2 and ME1, however most of your ME2 team only have cameos so far and are not controllable. Atthe point I am at I have Garrus, Liara, the Prothean (forgot his name D: ), EDI, and James. There are also less classic dialog scenes between team memebers now, a lot of it takes place like Kasumi and Zaeed where you have to action them many times.
I have to say that so far though ME3 is more hilarious then ME2 in the droll and sarcastic humor department, especially Garrus when he is talking about "calibrations". One thing that really pissed me off though was that Joker doesn't have any random lines! If you stood over him in ME2 long enough he would start saying random crap that was more often then not hilarious and it would change after each mission. That does not happen this time although he still has remarks about the last mission and banters with EDI a lot. Actually that gets really funny because he starts perving out after EDI gets a body.
So far I am loving the writing though. If you do not speed run it and import a save that was a 100% in ME1 and ME2 there are tons of various references back to stuff from both games. The writing in general is typical ME style writing, none of the character's personalities have changed although I have to say god damn about the new Ashley.
For the most part the textures are the same as in the demo but they are really cleaned up (still texture based on some outfits though), and yes Anderson has the stupid walking/running animation. The squad mate animations are much better though, propbably recycled from ME2 for the most part. So far I have seen at least one reference for almost every DLC so far except Zaeed and Kasumi but I assume they are coming later on. Also be sure to follow the Prothean around as he will visit each location that held a team member in ME2 and make observations about them throught he memories he is able to feel.
So far the most epic "re"-introduction has been Grunt's. After he stays behind to cover you on a certain mission he comes back alive and compeltely covered in blood. I also liked that the Prothean, upon examining his room (which was Grunt's room) states he would give Grunt a wide berth if they were enemies.
Okay so maybe this is not going to be that short :innocent:
But to end the wall of text before it happens, so far ME3 has both ups and downs but it is still Mass Effect.
