I've done the Earth, Mars, and Palaven moon missions. Plus a few side missions.

You will want to beat the game properly the first time.

Keep in mind though that the main difference you get is your combat time, some just require a bit more time to finish a fight. If I had taken my time with combat and done everything possible I would say kingsims is spot on: 40 hours, give or take.

Okay, the ending throws away all your roughly 48 hours of hard work to give you three choices to either molest the galaxy, kill the geth and EDI, or become a maniacal AI that justifies an indoctrinated Illusive Man's actions. In short, play multiplayer for a more fun experience until you've got 99% readiness and breeze through everything. Curing the genophage makes about as much difference to the story as shooting a husk with a shotgun or using a rifle instead.redsox95MB wrote...
Without any spoilers please, can someone tell me about how long ME3 is? I've been very pessimistic towards games recently due to the majority of them having very short campaigns and missions. Usually there is about one mission per game that is of decent length, while the rest are short, or maybe they're all long, but there's only 6 or so of them. I am worried about doing missions in ME3, because I feel everyone I do is a huge chuck of the game (Mars had great length to it). I shouldn't be worried about doing missions, I should just be enjoying them. So, is there a great ton of missions in ME3? Enough where I shouldn't be worried about doing a mission?
Oh yeah, Anderson dies, Shepard dies in almost all Red Green Blue endings, and Harbinger makes one appearance in the whole game to shoot lasers and make one sound. The villian may or may not be the villian in the form of a little boy Shepard sees getting blown up in a shuttle and having dreams about. Also, Kaidan or Ashley don't die unless you take certain renegade actions.

Liara doesn't die. The threads where people complain about her plot armor are an indication of this. Garrus only dies in refuse (so does the rest of the galaxy, you basically get everyone harvested) or ME2. Don't try to confuse or psych out the dude. No need to hide spoilers.FearedZero wrote...
The mission where Liara dies is about an hour long. The mission where Garrus dies is abotu a half hour long. And the mission where the collectors return is about a half hour. Then the game ends with you on a beach on Earth having sex with Vega, which is 3 hours long. Credits are a half hour. Oh, and there are no Reapers, Shepard is schizophrenic. That reveal is a half hour long cutscene.

Edit: I also stood still in a few places during this playthrough,so I imagine one could beat it faster.
