Should I take Dr. Chakwas or Michel. I took Chakwas but then I read you miss out on a war asset if you do. I have a save to load though. I guess my question is what do I miss out on by not having chakwas on the ship?

Michel? Who's she seriously i instantly just saw chakwas and knew i could trust her to do her job so i went with her how do get this other person.

You have to turn Chakwas first I believe. Dr Michel is the citadel dr. from the first game. She is involved in the main quest and a side quest on the citadel.

Ah well i see i sticking with chakwas she likes being on ships has done well for me so far and she does not really like life on planets she likes traveling so il let her on my shipmacdadams2 wrote...

Im gonna guess and say you will miss out on story. Ending mission would like have some stuff with her since she knows crew so much and not new doctor.macdadams2 wrote...

I believe the missed asset is not having her working in the labs.

Well I took the other docter to get the assets. I don't think it is so much that it will hurt you to bad down the road but every little bit helps.

If you tell Chakwas to stay and help with the research, you gain her as an asset. If you take Chakwas with you, you do not get her as an asset, just part of your crew and some paragon points.
If you dont take Chakwas, Dr Michael or whatever will come with you, but you have to tell Chakwas to stay put first.
As far as differences, you dont have the familiar face, and you also dont get to have saren ice brandy before the final mission i think. thats about it. Michael fills in for all other missions.
I told Chakwas to stay put, I want to make sure I have as many war assets I can get. Not taking any chances to get the best possible outcome.
