I played Mass Effect 1 & 2 on my old X-box but it red ringed and is now gone.
I still have the old hard drive, but can not put it in the new X-box as it does not fit in. Can I put my hard drive in my mates X-box, copy and paste the data on a memory stick, and then put that memory stick in my new X-box and play from my old game?
Will this work? Do I need to copy anything in particular?
Sorry if this has been asked before, I don't have much time to look around but really want to know!

Cool, I hope that's ok, I was worried that I had to play it on the X-box I played ME 1 AND 2 on.
Should i transfer ME1 data as well?

If you have DLC you'll need to do a license transfer to whatever Xbox you use for the new hard drive. It's a pain in the ass but it proves it's your hard drive. You can only do it once in a few months though. Other than that if you didn't have DLC you should be just fine.
My old Xbox red ringed too. I switched, got a new xbox, used my old hard drive for the refurbished 2006 model and did a license transfer to play all my DLC. Nothing went too wrong and I beat ME2 on time. Hope all goes well.
Now I'm just worried if my importation will work. God I'm nervous. lol
