I'm currently working with EA over the phone to see if they can resolve the issue with me. They told me to delete about 70 files in the directx/redist folder aside from the two .dll files and the .exe, and told me to reinstall ME3.
If all they tell me doesn't work, I will resort to updating my BIOS. I'm not trying to be hostile or anything, I'm just genuinely concerned my several year old motherboard will fry if I update it because it is such a piece of ****.

Well, I talked to about 9 different people throughout the day, all giving me several rudimentary fixes ranging from turning virus & firewall off to deleting certain files to simply running the programs in administrator.
None of them worked, and the guy basically said that they have no idea what is causing the problem and will forward it to the "expert" team and then if they can't fix it, to Bioware directly.
So, this probably won't be fixed very soon, if ever, and I basically have to sit here until someone finds a fix.
I alerted the guy of how the Release Date checker was jumping to 30%, then to 80%, and then blink and beep a couple of times before the error. I explained to him how this DRM bull**** only ever hurts the people who pay for the game, and he basically just said "Yeah..I know"
Is there any way for me to run Vista on my computer, via something like how Mac runs Windows, without making it my main operating system? I'm almost positive its Windows 7 doing this, so this would probably fix it and allow me to finally play a game that I've had the highest hopes for since ME2 came out as such a great masterpiece.

Not when you already have Windows 7 installed.. and if you have only one hard disk I would really not do it.
But it ended up being the activation stuff that was stopping you, so have fun with the game since you got it to work..
But seriously update your BIOS, it won't fry your motherboard >.< As long as you know what you are doing of course.
