This post goes out to both forum moderators and my gaming colleagues.

I've been caught up in Dragon Age games for the last few years and I didn't begin my experience of the ME world until a few months ago.  I've been playing and replaying Bioware's fantasy games since the first NWN, and the company continues to impress me with their consistently well-polished writing, design, and gameplay.  I was nervous, however, to step into science fiction and fps territory with Mass Effect simply because I was so accustomed to sword and sorcery.  (I realize now that my fears were unfounded since ME is not a true fps.)

But I play through Mass Effect and I enjoy it...no - I really enjoy it.  It's a great game!  I get ME2 right away and I think to myself, "Well, I don't think I'll get rid of my dragon t-shirts or anything, but this sci-fi stuff is OK!"  And then I'm playing through ME2 and I get to Tuchanka with Grunt and Mordin and I find myself incredibly enthralled by this harsh and uninviting planet, by the aliens who originate their.  I'm strolling around and suddenly I overhear two krogan talking about the female's visit to camp with the children and one of them is distraught because he thinks he met his son for the first time and he didn't want him to go.  And I'm moved!  I'm actually really sad!  I think about that conversation (one I simply overheard in a videogame) for the next few days!

Then...and I &*#$ you not...I called my dad, who I hadn't spoken to for several months after our last big argument.

Bioware!  Holy crap! It's the small things!  Just that little extra that you throw in!  I hope your writers and voice actors get paid well.  They deserve it.
