Also if you destroy the heretics in ME2 though you don't have to do the two missions in ME3, it will give you enough points to solve it peacefully. Rewriting doesn't help or subtract from being able to solve it peacefully. You also need a high reputation to persuade them.

In order to have peace between the Quarians and Geth you must do the following:
1. In ME2 Legion must live. If Legion is not available in ME3, no peace is possible.
2. You must get at least three "plot points" in ME2. Successfully defending Tali and NOT getting her exiled in ME2 is worth 2, destroying the Heretics in ME2 is worth 2, and successfully reconciling Tali and Legion's loyalty is worth one.
3. IF you have less than five plot points after ME2, then you must do the following in ME3 to reach a total of five: 1) Destroy the Geth Fighter base on Rannoch (this is worth one). 2) Save Admiral Koris (and NOT his men) [this is also worth one].
4. Make a very difficult Paragon/Regade check when Legion starts uploading the Reaper code.
Otherwise you have to chose and the one you don't choose will die.

I do not have Tali in my ME3 she died in ME2 I think I cant get both of them to survive
Forgot this, but yes. BOTH Tali and Legion must be alive in ME3. It's their working relationship in ME2 that makes peace possible in ME3.

Sure it is. You can destroy the Geth and if you do Tali doesn't die as far as I know.

First, you need to have completed Tali's mission with her loyal and the admirals not having the evidence (use the persuade option). if tali survives ME2 then that grants you 3 point.
If you destroyed the heretics in ME2 it weakens the geth in ME3 but keeps Quarians at full strength. it also gives you 2 points.
If you do both those you're set for peace and don't need to do anything else. But!
if you reprogrammed the heretics, it gives you 0 points. but increases geth strength (a lot).
All is not lost though. If you do both Rannoch missions you are okay.
Legion's "enter geth consensus" grants 1 point.
Saving Admiral Koris (instead of the civilians) grants you the admiral, and gives you 1 point.
so it's possible to get peace even rewriting the heretics.
Tali and Legion MUST have survived ME2.

My issue was importing the game where i rewrote the geh but it was the one i saved the rachni on too so i went with it
but i'll save both in my femshep play as she stopped Tali from being exiled. I can't remember why that save did not have ok with her people. It was my first me2 game and i guess i made m,istakes

I really wish I could have brokered a peace between the two, but that's what I get for playing Paragade. Apparently you need to have about 4-5 bars worth of Paragon or Renegade, and I was just barely short of the cut. Really bummed that Tali dies.
Well to me i save people over machines even if that makes me weaker
i killed enuf geth and they killed enuf of everything themselves i wont let legion decide the face of a race jut because hes cool

Thanks, this worked, was able to choose a paragon option and make peace. Was offput by Tali's ominous words before the dialog wheel popped up.

On second play.
Uploaded the code. No challange. Geth destroyed Quarians. Tali threw herself off the cliff. (Paragon left click came up but I did not hit it. It may allow you to catch her before she falls.)

Nope, paragon check for Tali, she still falls.
This was seriously the best conflict in the game. I seriously felt like a dick letting the Quarians die and watching Tali throw herself off the cliff even tho I was going for a full renegade play.

I think this is the part I am up to as well. But I have two dialogue options: 'upload the code' and 'we are letting the geth die'.

Tell Legion to upload the code, then when Tali starts begging him to stop, you'll have options to persuade the Admirals to pull back, provided your reputation is high enough and you have enough points.
