Is Kaidan a romance option for a Male Shepard? I search the web and the majority of what I saw said "Yes!". But when I read my guide, it only said that he was a romance option for a Female Shepard. Could anyone who had SOLID proof (besides the videos), confirm that he is a romance option for Male Shepard?

Unless people are lying and putting together crazy good mods on the day the game came out, he is a m/m romance option.

 The guide is wrong .  I know the OP stated proof other than vids, but vids are pretty much as solid as you can get.

Hahaha! The reason I didn't want videos is because I don't want to be spoiled about how the romance plays out. But I can appreciate the fact that those are actual gameplay videos and that my prayers have been answered! Hahaha

I had the romance convo with him at cafe, but never got a message to. When is the scene in his cabin?

I can add to what other people just said: I JUST literally unlocked the Paramour achievement with Kaidan on my Male Shepard.

It's confirmed, and been confirmed.

did you have a message saying to meet him on citadel? I had no message, he was just there and they had the awesome mushy combo, I'm just curious though when the other romance scenes are because when I talk to him now it's like nothing happened

I am somehow missing it, because I am NOT getting any sort of dialogue that is remotely gay, which sucks because I created a special Mass Effect 1 and 2 save for this. Waited to play part 3 when it arrived in the mail JUST so I could create a single manshep for this. My character gave him a bottle of alcohol and then he asked if they were good. My manshep confirmed that they were, the only other option being "for now". Then when I met him AFTER that he said some stuff about accepting Spectre status, but really little else. Nothing remotely romantic. So am I missing something?

I only remember two specific instances before the dinner date that are flirtatious with ManShep:

Did you get the "are you flirting with me, commander?" line? I got it when I gave him the whiskey the very first time I met him at the hospital. You get the line when you ask how his biotics are.

If you talk to Kaidan in the Crew Quarters after the mission that has Jacob Taylor in it, Shepard begins the conversation with "are you flirting with me?" to which Kaidan responds he needs more practice at it.

And finally... there's the dinner date. Just hope he asks you to be in a relationship.

Nope, I didn't get any line "are you flirting with me" when I handed him the whiskey. Just "maybe we can crack this open later and celebrate". This is very frustrating. Is it possible to have purchased the wrong alcohol or something? When I bought it, I didn't even know it was going to be a gift for Kaidan.

Seriously, i am gonna start the whole game over if I have to, to do it right.  Been waiting 4 years for this.  lol

Edit, and I don't even remember seeing a chance to ask him about his biotics.

I didn't give Kaidan any gift. Didn't even know you could. He still flirted with my male Shepard.

Did a mix of paragon and renegade dialog choices, too. Only slightly more paragon.

Every one of my ME1 mansheps were in love with Kaidan. And every single one saved him instead of Ashley, even the one that had attempted to romance her. In the end, he chose Kaidan over her. So I have had gay Mansheps and Bi mansheps, but never straight ones. Sadly I lost all my orginal ME1 saves awhile back.  So for every single play through I have had of any ME game, poor Ashley has not ever survived Virmire.  

Edit:  Well, I just figured out what I did wrong.  I didn't talk to him again after the initial cutscene conversation.  Darnit.  For some reason I didn't even consider that was an option.  Grrrrrr.    I wonder if I will have to play the game totally from that point.

I'm trying to gaymance Kaidan in my current playthrough but it's being very frustrating. I haven't gotten any remotely flirty dialogue (even though I gave him the whiskey and have mainly chosen paragon options in dialogue [not always because my Shep is renegade so I don't want to be entirely out of character]) and he's invited me out to dinner on the Citadel but when I had the conversation there with him he didn't ask for a romance and I had no option to ask him if he was interested. It was just "you're a good friend, Shep" and all that. What did I do wrong?

You locked in the romance with someone else. I'm curious as to whom in was.

Garrus - Shooting Contest ontop of the Citadel.
Miranda - Apartment Scene
Jack - Meet her in the bar
Tali - Talk to her in Shepard's Cabin at the start of the Rannoch Arc.
Liara - Talk on the Citadel after the Coup
Steve - Kiss him in the bar
Kelly - Tell her she's the one after the coup
Samantha - Get in the shower with her

I just know I'm forgetting someone.

Erm....my Shep was in a relationship with Miranda in ME2 but he broke it off with her when they first met up on the Citadel. He also had slept with Jack in ME2 but they were never in a legit relationship. I haven't had any of those other interactions with anyone else and I haven't flirted with anyone. I DID miss some conversation options with Kaidan when you can go visit him in the hospital (I wasn't aware you could go back and talk with him more after the initial conversation the first time you go to visit) so I was thinking that that might be the problem but I wasn't sure.

Thanks. I'd already read the entry about Kaidan there though. I'm guessing I probably have to restart my game and make sure to have those extra few conversations with him this time lol.
