I made a bunch of placeables by adding some models to the placeble_types tab of the placeables 2da.
They show up in the list that you can choose items from when you create a new placeable. They show up in the area editor with an arrow (like other placeables when I place them. They show up in game. When you press tab in game the name shows up like other placeables.
The problem is that you can't click on them. For example, one placeable I added was a stone well. Here's the line I entered in the 2da:
6550
Well, Stone
****
prp_stnwell_0
****
0
0.4
StateCnt_Container_Static
0
2
****
0
1
****
100
glo_fly_plc/da_doors/locked_unlocked/unlocked
glo_fly_plc/da_doors/locked_unlocked/lock_pick_fail
glo_fly_plc/looting/rustle_loot
I was able to add it as a new placeable, I can see it in game, but I can't click on it. This has happened with all the models I added as placeables.
Anybody have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks!

Looks like you can't directly click on them in the Area Editor either - you have to click on the placeable in the list to the left.
I wonder if it has something to do with the PLC_vs the PRP_ prefixes. Do all placeables need to have a PLC_ prefix? Or does the game think that anything with a PRP_ prefix is art and so you can't click on it in the area editor or the game?
I have Interactive set to True in the Placeable Properties for the item, and that's the field that is supposed to determine if you can click on it according to the wiki.

Right, maybe is simply because those models lack a collision mesh?
just guessing for your tests.
For example, in the level editor, you have a button "Visualize collision objects", that shows for me "red lines" in Boulders, white lines in houses or small objects, nothing in roof models or speedtree trees (vegetation).
So might be because the model isn't prepared for beeing an interactive placeable, this could be fixed easily if we could export/import models from 3ds.

PS: also try naming to PLC, yeah, is an option
