Everything seems to be fine in terms of putting in the code so the game knows I paid for it. But when trying to download it through Origin the download never actually finishes. It'll freeze up somewhere and never continue. Trying to pause and resume just starts it over from scratch. Isn't there a better option than just hoping it will one day finish or go from start to finish without stopping? 

Hate to say it, but I miss the ME2 DLC method. You could actually download it yourself and install instead of leaving in the hands of a program like Origin.

It finished for me, said I own it have it installed and what not, but when I start the game up I dont see the mission in the game, its pissing me off

Same here, no sign of the mission either, even though I downloaded it and installed it.

The mission is on Eden Prime. That's where you get the Prothean. It's not going to be a message that says "Hey, you need to go to Eden Prime guiyse!" If you remember from the Spectre Office on the Citadel, it'll talk about Eden Prime. If you go there, you'll start the new mission.

I have a code to unlock the downloadable content but the bioware site won't recoginized it. Should i wait a day?

Where do you even put in the code? The sheet just says to enter it "in Origins" but neglects to say WHERE. It offers to sell me points to buy From Ashes, but I already paid for it and am not that desperate yet.
