Ok I am a bit Steamed (pun intended). I understand why I have to install Origin to play ME3. But why oh why if I bought a retail copy of a game do I have to download the game from Origins server if the game is on those two DVDs?

Why did you have to DL it? I didn't have to, I just installed it from my disc's, I DL'ed the DLC and away I went. I have no idea why you're DL the game from Origin.

I have no clue. I put in disc one. Put in disc on. installed origin. Registered the game code and that is it. Notihng else happens.

What I did was I started Origin, then I put in Disc 1. A menu came up and I selected "Next" to begin installation. I went to 55% then I had to insert Disc 2. Disc 2 finished quickly, I entered my additional DLC code and then started the game. Works great!
But before I did what I said above, I was trying to install the game WITHOUT having Origin client open, and nothing was happening and it was making me angry. So just make sure that your Origin client is open FIRST before you try to install the game.
