Just played my first hour or so of the game. Loving the improvements to combat and movement (not so clunky as ME2)! So far, the only thing I have encountered is L2 not working for a Paragon Interrupt. Not sure if this was a one-time issue or not as I have only been given one opportunity for such an interrupt.
I imported my ME2 Shepard, who was 100% Paragon. During the cutscene when you first board the Normandy and Anderson insists on staying behind, you get an opportunity to hit L2 and Paragon Interrupt Vega when he's grilling you about leaving Anderson behind. I tapped L2, which has always worked for Paragon Interrupt in ME2. Nothing happened, so I repeatedly tapped L2 until the Paragon Interrupt just faded away... and never initiated the actual interrupt.
I know my L2 button is functioning because the weapon wheel comes up when I hold it down.
So, my question is:
1. Do I have to hold down L2 instead of just tapping it to now perform a Paragon Interrupt?
2. Was this a one-time bug during that one cutscene (I have not encountered anymore opprtunities to Paragon Interrupt, so I don't know if that was just one issue or will be an ongiong issue)?
3. Might there be an actual problem with all Paragon Interrupts moving forward?
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Has anyone successfully Paragon Interrupted that cutscene? If any Bioware devs need me to go back and try anything, I have a save before that scene. I would be more than happy to try and help trouble-shoot if you think this is a deeper issue or if any other PS3 users have experienced this problem.

Well, that would do it, wouldn't it? LOL
Thanks! Does it actually say that anywhere? Did not notice it in the in-game "manual" that shows the controller functions. And if they flashed it underneath the Paragon Interrupt signal, it was too small for me to see. And I'm 26 with pretty good vision using an HDTV, so if that's the case, that's pretty dang small! Or I'm getting old already. *sobs*

As far as I know it doesn't tell you. When the first interrupt happened I was hitting L2 and when nothing happen I looked at it and saw that it said L1.

Well, at least I didn't miss something totally obvious. I feel less like an idiot, and more like my eyesight has already begun the downhill run. LOL

It's an easy thing to miss, I managed to miss it even after getting new glasses recently!

I noticed it immediately, but I have another issue regarding paragon options: they appear to be almost entirely gone outside of the cut scenes. I've gotten precisely one "blue text" option, and it appears to have been a romantic option as well as paragon.
Have they completely stripped the paragon/renegade dialog options in this one?

There's supposed to be a paragon/renegade dialogue option during a conversation to recruit a doctor for your team (in prologue on Citadel). Both options light up red when scrolled over, but not clickable.

I don't recall either option being lit up any particular color. Weird.
The only "blue" option I've seen in the game was during a conversation with Cortez on the Citadel. And it didn't look quite right, I almost didn't notice it was blue. It looked more... washed out than blue.
