Ive got about 5 hours into the game now and have had it freeze 3 times. Im using a 360 slim about 1 year old with the game installed on a external HD. I have had game freezes before with Star Ocean usually after long play sessions but never this frequently. Is there anything i can do to help the problem? Its a real hassle with the infrequent autosaves and this most recent freeze set me back a long way because i dont often save, is there a way to make it autosave more often, i dont know what constitutes a save action but usually in ME games they save pretty frequent and it seems in this one i keep getting set back quite far.

ok well after freezing 3 times after the cutscene in the from ashes dlc i decided to swap out my HDMI cables and plugged in the old red yellow white cords and turned it from 1080p to SD and it didnt freeze after the scene like it had been. Is this going to be an issue going forward, is the game stable in 1080p?

Two things, 1. Are you sure the game was freezing permanently (forcing a reboot)? I've been having it "freeze" on me, but I can still use the Xbox button on the controller to reach the dashboard, and after 20-30 seconds it clears up, allowing me to continue. I haven't yet had it freeze completely.
2. I don't think you can make it autosave more, but you can manually save as often as you like. Just hit the "Select" button to quicksave, or, if you have a Kinect, say "Quicksave", either works fine.

I am having the same exact issue. Freezes immediately after the cut scene. Tried it about 5 times. Actually have a brand new hard drive too so i doubt its me, especially if dryz is having the same issue.
Edit: To clarify, this is the only issue im having..not all the other freezes he reported.

I was having the same freezing problem on this mission. My system would just hardlock everytime after the first cutscene. I have my system setup for 1080p res, and it would lock everytime I tried it (like 10 times). Just for the hell of it I dropped my res down to 720p and tried it and the damm think worked no lockups finally. I have also been getting the 20 to 30 sec lag everynow and then. There are defiently some bugs that need worked out still. All in all though I'm still loving the game.
