I've got one of those too.. thing has gotten me killed more then it's been useful.

so has anyone figured out the best way to get new unlocks? I keep buying spectre packs but all they give me is these funky weapons I dont want.
Also lots of Quarians, think I got every combination of Quarian there is unlocked now.. twice.

I got the Adept my second Spectre pack, but the other two were just disciple shotguns, so it was about 3 hours of play for one thing I will ever use(I never seem to win with pugs so getting credits takes a while)

i spent 800 ms today on spectre packs

yeah yeah i know....its free but i want to play the game not mp right now but its kinda cool to have that ability. i mean i get free points often from the rewards system and this is something i would blow them on

and omg the alien enemy are bad as hell as in BAD arse

Figured I'll just open vet packs and list here what I get..
1 Loctus machine pistol
2 Male Human Engineer
3 M-29 sniper rifle
4 Shotgun Blade and another M-29
5 Drell Adept

While I haven't been going after anything specific in this game I DO feel your pain from aaaaall the grind in team fortress 2 for certain weapons.

I really really hate random "loot" unless the loot itself is randomised (like it was in diablo 2) but that was magical attributes and made somewhat more sense for these to be random.

I think they should have race/class unlocks available for 100k. Problem solved.

Plus EA could just stick a price tag on them like they do everything else.

LOL. I got two Shuriken upgrades in one pack. I think that might have been a glitch.

The starter packs should have all included at least one character unlock. I got the incisor with it, which will be great on all the not-snipers I play.

The asari adept is terrible now due to the stasis nerf, your not missing much.

In my opinion, the asari adept feels a lot weaker
due to the stasis nerf, plus, stasis overall is not
as effective versus reapers and geth.

If you want to play the super class, just stick with
infiltrators. Still as overpowered live as they were
in the demo. Every bit as fun to play as the asari
adept was in the demo.

Did they change anything in stasis other than increasing cooldown? 'cause you can get cooldown pretty low, I was somewhere around 2 seconds. I also haven't gotten the asari yet, so can't see for sure; but if before you could have about 20-25% of base cooldown, with the increase to 12 seconds you're chilling around a 3 second cooldown which is still pretty quick. Plus I think one of the evolutions gave you a 30% chance of no cooldown, which is pretty solid.

Still not sure which is better...3x vet pack or 1x specter pack. I feel like saving up for the specter pack will be extra disappointing if you don't get what you're looking for, since it's pretty much 2 full games of silver to get there. Plus during the demo I got the asari from a vet pack; but maybe now there are so many more weapons and other garbage making the chances of getting that class smaller.

Although in the meantime, infiltrator is pretty fun. The quarian being able to turn the geth against each other is stupid useful.

Me too, and I am getting always the same kind of 3 classes out the veteran packs... which it is really weird to me, it feels too much as not a coincidence. Turian Assault, Vanguard Asari and Engineering Salarian... I was playing with the BF3 character... I have the suspect that it is related the unlocking with the kind of characther you are developing.

Welcome to the Skinner Box school of game design.
I'm honestly rather annoyed that they went this route with things.

They have a really cool multiplayer set-up outside of fact that all the unlocks are completely random. You know the blatant profiteering wouldn't bug me if you could at least pay to unlock specific classes or something, but the fact that paying gets you random loot at best is extraordinarily lame.
