So after days and hours of changing settings & doing everything i've read on the forum - I spoke with a real EA Person to ask how to fix it, and he told me that it might be caused by the fact my game is installed on my E: drive, rather than my C: drive.
So I uninstall, and then pop another 15GB of my monthly bandwith on this game, and I install it to my C: drive.
The problem now is. [And I don't even know if it will work when its fixed.]
Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater --- The Service. The service we're all having trouble with, well,
e:\\steam\\steamapps\\common\\dragon age origins\\bin_ship\\DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe
Problem being - I don't have an E: drive anymore, I transferred it all to save myself hassle in the future to my C: drive.
how can I change the path this service takes , as it won't let me edit it?
Thanks in advance, bioware aren't my favourites anymore, future games are a no thanks.
DLC - Would like help & information.

If you're using Steam, when you remove DA it should also remove the service - but it is also possible it didn't install it correctly the first time which is happening with some digi download versions.
Have you looked at the following thread and commands for how to add the service to run manually? particularly section 3.2.3 and 3.2.4
http://social.biowar.../58/index/81613
Edit: If the game is running fine, then it sounds like you just need to manually start the service up - no need to reinstall (and esp. re-download)
