i just installed mass effect 3, and at the first importunity to level up, the game gives me all the level points at once...63 of them. it kinda defeats the purpose of leveling up ingame.
anyone have any ideas?

Did you import any previous mass effect 2 saved game?

If you imported a character, it imports their level.
How is this PC Technical support?

the max level is 30 in ME2...so if you brought in a lvl 30 char you start at 30, but you can go up to 60 in ME3 I believe.

You don't get all your points at once. You do, however, get extra points due to A) having two new skills and
having all your skills requiring 21 points to master, instead of 10. If you had a Bonus Power in ME2, you also probably gained extra points from that.
