So... Yeah. Tali's unmasked face was taken from a stock photo. Proof and link inside.

don't worry, we already had three of those. but they are closing them really fast. There's one in off-topic and one in the mass effect 2 campaign and quests storylines board. If you want to join, just go there.

This board seems to fit the topic the best.

This is obviously very lazy on Bioware's part. Let's just say I'm glad that their betrayal of their original fanbase is coming to bite them back in the ass. The writing for this game is completely terrible.

This is what you get when you try to appeal to a larger crowd. I miss the old, pre-EA Bioware.

PS, I can't believe they are deleting these threads. Talk about massive censorship. The whole internet knows Bioware, it's pointless to delete these threads!

you may be right , Smith. Less chance of being deleted here.

Let me dump the original stock phot and a youtube video with the in-game photo:

Just laziness.

i have a question
WHO THE **** CAAAAAAAAAAAREEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!?
its bioware's decision what they want to make tali look like no one can say "Oh she looks wrong because of blank and blank" because WE'VE never seen any quarian's face its normal if you expected her to look different precisely because you have never seen it and the games lets you make up what you want to see
this proofs nothing about how EA is ripping bioware apart is it lazy? maybe but you then have to ask did they have to show her face? no and that is why i believe most of the time faceless characters should remain faceless because of angry pissy fanboys going on a rant about not making things look how they pictured it in their heads does using a stock image diminish your experience of the game? no.
ME3 is a great game so far ive loved it ive been a hardcore fan since ME1 ive read the novels and loved them personally i like how tali looks (although the freaking sun glare can go F itself)

Are serious right now? I can't tell if you're trolling or just massively oblivious. We're upset that Bioware put barely any effort into the picture, and it shows. Hell, the guys over at 4chan have done better photoshops - they fixed Tali's hand so it looks the way it does in-game. We're not upset that Tali looks different from what we imagined, although I'd have hoped for something that is less conventionally attractive and more alien and inhuman.

I quite frankly do not care.

Let me sum it up for you. She does have breasts and therefore she is a mammal - therefore, logically, she must be similar to human race. If you wanted to date a lizard, you should have concidered dating a Turian or Krogan...

And about the fact wheter they used a photo as a basis for an ingame picture, well, should the people not point it out, great majority of the players would not have noticed because they simply do not care about a detail like this.

If the problem is that she looks like a supermodel. Well, congratz to your character if this is what you wanted:

Thats the point...

Well, I actually dont understand, how anyone could NOT be upset by this laziness ?!?....

--- First ... It´s just f*cking photoshop!?!?  When they dont have the time to make an model for a ingame (love)scene or smth, then they could at least have taken a skilled artist for that picture of hers.

--- Hell ... It doenst even look good! Its so cheap, so half-baked... look and these f*cked up eyes ... srsly ...

--- And last ... Her having no suit on is dumb >.< ... In the Mission before she allready told u, that it will still take a lot of time to live without the suits. SO WHEREs THIS PHOTO TAKEN FROM ? ...

I dont care about her looking too human, or looking too attractive (  well, actually she doenst even look that good on this fail-photoshop ) ... .

Its just toooooo CHEAP what they did to tali ...

I agree with Jedlosson2. I finished her mission yesterday and was happy with the picture. Today found out about a background of the picture and while less happy I still like it.
Thyos, maybe thats the way her eyes are suposed to look. she's a freaking alien.

As for how she was without the costume. How about the buble thing they use for kids? not to mention that She herself staited in ME2 that quarians bodies are more suited for the atmosphhere of their homeworld. She managed to sleep with Shepard in the sheep full of deadly for her microbs and only got a little sick. Whats stoping her from being able to be outside her costume for a while on the planet disained for her organism?

Well sry at that point ... I was a bit overreacting.
(but her eyes are really somehow messed up, looking in different ways ... look at it carefully ...
and i wrote u a PM about the suit-thing...)

BUT:

Why do we even discuss about WHAT is on the photo?? I´m affraid Bioware didn´t even think about its content for a single moment! (nature in the background, tali having no suite on ...) Its just a random stock photo and not worth bothering about its meanings !!!

I wonder why they didn't just render Ash Sroka's face? They did that for Miranda.

Well ...

I assume that EA put pressure on Bioware to finish the game AND create a f*cking DLC to release with.
They shouldnt have used the time for this DLC or may reset the release date in order to make the ending part better and for other stuff like Talis face.

For me it would have been no problem to wait some weeks or even months longer ... but obviosly EA doesnt care as long they earn enough money...

Who cares? seriously.. the pic is good, nothing wrong with using a royalty free picture.. the question is DID it fit.. yes it did..

If it bothers you that much I will be HAPPY to point out the free scratch brushes for photoshop that were used on textures in all Me series... I would also be happy to point out stock textures used in many games..

Man how dare they?(Scarcasm)

How about we focus on he craptastic ending.

Or the fact I cant comment on the Me3 forums because I apparently down on me1 me 2 or me3.. but It lets me comment on the other me forums... and I have DLC for me2 linked to this account.. just not me2...

Or Lets complain about the fact I CANT find any way at all to actually TALK to someone at EA from the help section to fix my account woes.

Some stock ass picture thats been modified to come whine about it pretty pathetic.

Obviosly there are people caring about...

Just because its no big deal for u dont call it pathetic.
I also dont blame u for not getting the point that a f*cking (NOT FITTING) stock photo is just not acceptable for a chracter whos face we waited for 3 episodes!

Its disgusting enough, that they didnt create a model for a ingame scene but using a random stock photo dont giving a **** about whats on it and if it suits or makes sense ...

Thats not what we should expect from a game like ME3.
