Yeah, I talked with Aethyta in Mass Effect 2 and saw the footage of her looking at that photo of Liara. And when I talk to Aethyta in ME3, the conversation plays out like Liara and Shepard are a couple.
Which is not right. I selected Ashley in Genesis for my last ME2 playthrough. So there's likely a bug at work.

I would simply like to know if the bug effects any romance you might have with another character or if it's simply a cosmetic issue: says it but has no effect on future convos/romance with others.

Same here. Aethyta stops talking half way into admitting to be her paraent, seems to bug out after that. So many damn bugs in ME3.The Grey Nayr wrote...

Since you made this post quite a while ago, can you tell me if it affects any future convos or romances later in the game? I have stayed loyal to ash for my import but Aethyta still called me Liara's boyfriend despite not romancing her in the first 2 games, nor I have I started a romance in ME3. <_<
