She's confirmed what we all already knew. The foul mouthed Kroganborn Asari bartender is Liara's father.

For those tho don't know how and/or are skeptical. Trick to getting the dialogue to show is to speak to her on Illium and look at the Shadow Broker footage in ME2, then speak to her in the Presidium Commons in ME3.

There's also a bug that makes Liara and Shepard a couple in convo even if they aren't.

wasn't the character model different? She looked more krogan in ME2.

Everyone got a facelift in ME3 it seems. Still, her attitude is the same. ;)

If you get Liara to talk to her though... she disappears from the game

Oh, is that right?  That's disappointing.  I was hoping that would lead to another of my long-standing ME3 wishes: to have her tending bar on the Normandy.

Ya she looked a lot younger. Probably had botox or something. Its the same with Aria, looking less intimidating than ME2.

She also has one of the very best exchanges in the whole series for those of us who have played all three games.

If you get her and Liara talking in Mass Effect 3, they converse about a lot of family history. At one point deep into one of the exchanges, Aethyta mentions an argument between her and Benezia after they were separated. Aethyta recounts the conversation, saying that Benezia was raising young Liara too strictly, that Liara had greatness in her and would make a difference waving those "little wings" of hers around.

To which Liara gets breathless for a moment and asks in a hesitant, constrained tone, "Little wings?" to which Aethyta says, "Yeah, something wrong?" to which Liara simply replies, "...no."

A nifty moment for long-time fans who realize that Aethyta doesn't know that Benezia's nickname for Liara was "Little Wing" and Liara's being taken aback by the revelations that the name came from her father.

She also mentions that Liara may have a half-sister.

Liara has several half-sisters. Except of course, "It doesn't work that way." :)

yeah!! hahaha....A Half-Hanar Sister.

Ah man....i could listen to the two for hours!! it was pretty nice!!

i was hoping that the revelation that she is 1/4 Krogan would change some of the conversation between Wrex and Liara. that would be awesome.

I can't find her after Priority: Citadel. Did anyone else find her after doing this quest? It seems she's gone now, and I never got to reunite her : /

I was a little annoyed that she looked so different from ME2, I mean they had the model in ME2 they could've tweaked that one, after all it's the same engine, It's mostly the eye color change that bothers me, it was too noticeable.

your necro of this thread actually reminds me how we don't know whether she even survived the Cerberus Attack, since she's gone from the Citadel after that. Not to mention the moving of the Citadel after the Reapers took over, in case she did survive the Cerberus attack.

But she is one of my favourite characters. I wouldn't want her as a squadie, but she certainly added a lot of humor to the game. "What a rack!" That one made me wonder how Liara would develop once she reaches Matriarch stage. :D

you have to find her before the attack on the citadel. I looked after because I hadn't spoken to her yet and just found out she was there but she was gone at that point

She does survive the attack. In one of the fetch quest for an Asari commanader in the Purgatory, when you recover her things, she talks to someone on something she has Matriarch Atheyta's blessings on, and this happens after the coup attempt.

I think it'd be a lot easier on most of us to just headcanon that those near-and-dear characters definitely survived the moving of the Citadel. BioWare never showed them die; I'm OK with just saying "f*** it, they're alive."

I may kill some squadmates on the Suicide Mission in ME2 for forced drama every file, but ME3 has more than enough death and destruction for my taste as-is.
