Im wondering (as I posted this in a general forum before, and re-posting it here), as it said on a lot of promotional material for ME3, one such note was that all equipment collected in ME2 would be transfered over to ME3... This sounds awesome, but what I want to know is do I need to re-buy all this stuff over again, or Am I supposed to get it at the start like the DLC gear? I kinda would think the latter would make more sense since I have ME2 Gear that's strictly DLC (and promotional) such as the dragon age armor and the Dr.Pepper gear.

Can I get a clear answer? Is the "transfer" they talk about ME2 items just really "Oh you have the opertunity to buy them with ingame credits AGAIN at some point" or are you supposed to transfer with them like you do with your character levels, etc etc?

Edit- For clerification, yes I've been playing already, I wanted to know where all my gear went.

This. Spent a fairly good ammount on Mass 2 DLC gear. Got to the Normandy and not seeing it. I'd like to know if I should be patient or if this is a bug.  In short: papa needs his Mattock.

Seen Inferno Armour in a shop. Probably means that those tech people re-fitting the Normandy helped themselves to contents of your armour and weapon lockers.

I demand also an answer. Why are my ME2 stuff not being imported to ME3? I don't have time to scour the universe because there's war, War!!!

All stuff from Dragon Age Origins were able to be imported in Awakening. However, it was only fixed through a patch.

That makes no sense though Massamo, since I never got the collector edition of ME2, and yet I have the option to buy the Collectors armor... Something doesn't add up.

The weapons and armor from ME2 were shown in one of the trailers, and one of the rifles was used in the demo, yet they are not in ME3..

I was looking forward to rockin the locust in the dragon armor again...

Har har.  True, though.  The wiki had boiled down a bunch of rumors and supposed quote for BioWare peeps, but in the end it was just educated speculation (with a bit of wishful thinking).

That said, it would have been thoughtful on BioWare's part to make that investment in DLC have some kind of carryover into ME3.  After realizing we would have to buy all those items again, I was surprised to find DLC items I had never purchased for ME2.  It's nice that everyone gets a chance to play with those toys, now.  An elegant solution would be to offer them at a serious in-game discount and/or have a store available in the procurement station that has all your previous DLC items in stock.

Regardless, I think people would have been fine if there had been clear official word on this.

Hiya folks,

Shepard was stripped of his rank, ship and equipment for his actions in Mass Effect 2. You will have the opportunity to purchase some of these items again ingame.

Hope that clears things up.
