 Alright, so, for some reason no one else seems to be having this problem except one other guy and no one is helping him either

During the DLC mission, AFTER the two visions you are told to go back to the pod. After you clear all the baddies, Liara remarks that the bridge is down and we'll have to find another way across. This other way involves jumping down, going up to ladders the the roof, and then jumping over two air vents before you get to a ladder back down. When I approach the ladder, My character hovers in the air for a few moments before resetting at the top. This has happened repeatedly.

I have tried sending my squadmates down first (they climb down normally, but I still can't)
I've restarted the mission
I've tried eloading from a previous stage
I've repaired both the DLC and the game itself
I've down all available updates and other repairs
...Still Doesnt work

Specs:
Fem Shep (Sentinal, Tech Armor Activated) [Edit: Tried with it deactivated... didn't help]
Normal Mode
Starting N7 Armor
Starting Pistol with 2 Mods, Second Assult Rifle with 1 mod, and starting Shotgun with 2 mods
Liara and James Squadmates
Went here BEFORE I did the first mission with the turian primarch

I'm currently stuck here as i would have to start the game completely over to progress past this... I would appreciate any and all help! (Especially seeing I as i seemed to have paid 10 dollars to stop me from being able to play....)

Can you please tell me where this mission shows up? I have the DLC but I can not find this mission in the email terminal or on the map. What do I look for?

I am having this exact same issue and trying the fixes suggested for the other crashes associated to the DLC (repair the DLC, patch the DLC, patch the game) didn't fix anything. Shepard is unable to go down the ladder to get to the pod after watching the videos (watched the closest video first, the one with the signal, then the latter one.)

Specs:
Female Shepard, Soldier
Modified Mantis sniper rifle with two mods, one of the extra ammo. Not the starting assault rifle (but not DLC, forget the name) with no mods.
Liara and James as squadmates, and this the first mission off the Normandy.

This happened to me, literally five minutes ago. Came to see if anyone else had the issue. I patched as well, still broken. Anyone restart the mission and see if that worked?

I restarted the mission and that did not fix it, would love if Bioware would stop locking these ladder threads and telling us to go to the cutscene crash one. They're completely different bugs.

Same problem here too. Restarted, from earlier game save, played up to this point and still same fail and have done what the others have.....bugger me!

Kept trying the forward button "w" and "escape" at the same time. finally worked. Couldn't tell you the exact timing but good luck!!

I had the same issue and kept on hitting the "w" key and moving the mouse around close to the ladder until it finally worked but it took some time...

Fantabulous! Add me to the ranks. I'm gonna try the w + esc key combo thing, then some moving around, then some voodoo, and we'll see what works.

Ahhh marvellous. First I don't get my femshep from ME1/ME2 properly imported, then I find my fish and portrait of Liara are missing from my cabin and now the first mission I've tried is bugged.

Same issue as everyone else, get stuck at the top of the ladder with the sound of descending then resets. And to think I thought I was being daft googling for 'ME3 how to descend ladders'…


EDIT: Popped back in-game and got lucky. What I did was position myself right at the top but where I could still see the blue down arrow, pressed W and then very quickly pressed ESC. When I hit ESC a second time there was the wonderful site of Shepherd descending!

Odd, I did *not* encounter this issue.

Maybe there's some system specification you all share?

What version of the game did you buy? (basic/deluxe)
Did you get a DVD of the game, or was it a digital copy?

Have any of you attempted to use Origin's "repair install" function? Did that work for anyone?


Update:  I just had something like it occur in multiplayer....was trying to go down a ladder and was stuck on the top rim....eventually I "floated" down to the ground.

Happens to me every time I do that mission.

What I do to fix it:
Go back to the first ladder which gets you up to that roof, and climb back down. Once your squad follows, climb back up. Doing this almost always fixes the "down" ladder.

I'm having this same issue happen to me in the Leviathan DLC. Not far into the level where you are rescuing Dr Bryson's daughter, right after you fight your first Banshee, I climb up a ladder and am unable to climb down the next one. Not sure if this has happened to anyone else. I've tried the w+escape trick to no avail.
